Unorganized and poor customer service

They tried to charge me for for their time 120 dollars for sending me a bill that was paid a month before. They didn’t call the company to see if it was paid. You think if they are trying to collect for a company they would check with that company what is owed at the time. I have the letter post marked almost a month after it was paid. I don’t think i should pay them for sending me a collection notice a month after the account was paid?? I talked to their secretary and she even agreed that would have been a smart thing to do is check on the balance of the account first and agreed she wouldn’t pay
