Receptionist was very rude, and insinuated I wasn’t taking care of my fussy child though she had no idea I was walking around holding her trying to give her her milk, a snack, or anything to make her happy. And once she finally calmed down she made a snarky comment about how she finally stopped fussing and that I finally did something about it. No ma’am I had been trying to do something about it since the minute she started fussing. Gave her the remote, she threw it (which she also made a comment about, because after she threw it I took it away and she said “Just give her the remote.” No I will not give her something she will throw again and possibly break.) Gave her milk, she threw that also. Gave her yogurt, she continued fussing for a couple more minutes before she was over whatever made her start up in the first place and finally eat her snack. I am not a prefect mother by any means but I am not over here neglected my child and to assume that just because you hear crying over the phone, not knowing that that mother is frantically running around the house trying to soothe her child by any means necessary. I just wanted some legal advice to help ease my mind about an upcoming court date, not judgment from a receptionist who either doesn’t have children or has a partner to help distract their children while she makes calls.
