This lawyer is my go-to for issues that life presents. I know he will do his best for me. I trust in his intelligence and experience. He has helped me on two cases already. Highly recommend. Jeff and his staff have been more than helpful as I face the preliminary stage of my current case. If you're a person like me who has never faced legal issues before and your kind of lost with the overwhelming amount of reviews and opinions about lawyers, I'd advise you to go and talk with him and feel him out for yourself. All lawyers aren't meant for everyone and you have to go out and talk with each one that you're interested in to reach your own conclusion about which one is right for you. Jeff Courtney didn't promise me anyting. He didn't guarantee the outcome would be in my favor. And he never said I was at the top of his list. What he did say is he would do his very best. He said he would talk to the prosecutor to get the very best outcome for my case. I live very far from Nebraska, about as far as you can get. And to appear would be financially disastrous for me. I was put in a situation where I needed Mr Courtney's help. And that's just what he did for me. Is he going to be right for you? I can't promise you that. But I can promise this you: I appreciate Mr. Courtney, Miss Allison, and all the other people in his office that worked on my case so the outcome was in my favor! Money well spent.

Extremely difficult to get ahold of anyone, especially Ericka. Only met with him once and were passed down to multiple lawyers due to a medial issue Mr. Courtney had. According to a friend who recommended him, he was a really good lawyer once. Due to lack of communication, difficulties reaching anyone, an unsure costs on things that shouldn’t have been charged, I say avoid the wasted time or money.

Totally a joke, stole our $8000 retainer and did absolutely nothing, but get me sued by another deadbeat attorney that did nothing but actually steal $4000 from me

Horrible, anyone and everyone should file a greivance with the legal counsel for discipline, I can't believe that this operation hasn't been shutdown. I had to give at least one star to make this post, but they deserve no stars.

I will be filing a grievance with the counsel for legal discipline and any making a complaint should do the same, it's all online and this the only way to stop this law firm from their unscrupulous practice of fleecing their clients under the guise of law.

I would not recommend to anyone. I hired Mr Courtney to get a permanent parenting plan done. After nearly 2 years, it was completed however, it was not what I agreed to and I specifically told Erica that I would not agree to that and that I would take my son's dad to court before I would agree to the proposed order my son's dad and his attorney wrote up. She told me they have my back etc.. and if thats what I wanted to do then they would support me. This was in August of 2016 when this conversation took place. I had not heard from them for 8 months... Until April 2017 when I received an email from Mr Courtney stating my son's father filed a motion to vacate and it was denied because we had already came to an agreement and that it has taken nearly 2 years to get this completed. ( we had never came to an agreement) and then I later found out a court hearing regarding the permanent parenting plan was held in January of 2017. I was never notified about this. When I asked Mr Courtney for a copy of the current plan because I was not aware this had been completed as of yet he sent it to me and it was the original proposed plan that my son's fathers attorney had written up. It was everything my son's father wanted and nothing I wanted. So here I am, I had to hire a new attorney to try and get this fixed (which is currently being worked on with new attorney)in which there is a possibility we won't be given the opportunity to give it another shot since the permanent plan is already in place. It was nearly impossible to get ahold of them via email. And calling them was not any better. I was always told several times I would receive a call back and they took my name and number but I never received phone calls back. It was a waste of time and money. He did nothing for me.

Jeff Courtney Courtney Law ripped us off took our money and never showed up to court because Mr. Courtney fell ill. They refused to return our phone calls never had a lawyer show up for us and we paid them $2500 and they refused to give my money back or help us. Do not hire this law firm do yourself a favor they are the worst.

This law firm shouldn't even get 1 star, they took our case and we paid $1,000. From the very beginning we asked for our money back because we didn't trust them but Allison told us that "Mr. Courtney and his team were dedicated to us"... the Friday before our court on Monday we got an EMAIL saying that they were going to have to decline our case out of nowhere. They don't care about you or your case. Just the money. This is the worst legal team I have witnessed and Allison has the worst advice. 4 weeks later we got only $400 of our money back and only saw them a total of 30 minutes. Never come here :)

This law firm needs to close its doors.... You meet with Jeff, he turns your case over to his college's that know nothing and do nothing... They never answer or call... They have several people claiming to be working on your case... You have court. They send someone that doesn't know or doesn't do anything.... Basically this law firm needs to be shut DOWN for good..... They are SCAMMERS..... They take your money and do nothing they promise.... You don't care about your clients..... All they care is about $$$

This attorney is absolutely ridiculous. I saw my friend go through the ringer with him on a child custody case. He met with his twice for about 30 minutes total. He never seemed like he knew anything about the case at all. My friend literally made a bad decision getting involved with this firm. He dealt with the staff who rushed to get paperwork in and it seemed like he and his friends were doing all of the leg work for them. I wouldn't recommend this attorney to my worst enemy. I have seen my friend gouged for money and the representation that he and his family received was awful.

His caseload is too big for him to handle!! Over a month and a half of having a case where he represented me, I only made contact with him 1 time, which was the initial $300 15 minute consultation, which he was late and watched him walk in and made me sit there for 30 more minutes. His legal aids do a Very Good Job. Alisson gives bad Advice. I think she believes she is a legal Aid, but should just be answering phones. Unless you're paying 5000 down don't bother, the other party's lawyer Jackie Barfield made more effort than my own lawyer to contact me when it mattered. The bottom line is you won't be able to get ahold of him you will deal mostly with his Wife and his Legal aids. BeWare, He has less than 3 Stars for a Reason. His team is Exceptional but HE is unpersonable and too Busy.

This attorney is a joke. Charges $300 for first visit and didn't even keep his word on helping us out. Met with him, stated he was going to research and get back to us, never did. This attorney does not even deserve 1 star, zero stars. Charges $300 for first visit, was told they could help that they were going to call me back with more information after we had the first visit. i would give this attorney 0 stars if i could went to him for a divorce after their neglect on paperwork and my best interest they ran a tab up on me and then dropped me. they made legal decisions without my consulting me which was in the favor of my ex wife. i should have done more reviews and gather more intel on this firm because when it comes to divorce you are better off going with someone else. besides erica everyone else on his staff was rude again if you are going through a divorce stay away from this guy and go else where it will be in your best interest

we hired Jeff Courtney at the very last minute 27 days before we were to appear in trail for a custody removal case for my son. My son was taken from me a year and a half ago by his dad. I was unaware that because I had moved out of the state of NE that I had to have the permission from NE to move my child out of state. We had hired two attorneys previous to Jeff Courtney. We spent over 10,000.00 in attorney fees and never seen any work or progress on our case... But the money seemed to disappear quickly. A year and a half after Ago I filed the complaint we were finally going to go trial. All odds were against us due to the fact I moved out of state and that my child had resided in NE a full year and a half with his father. Jeff and Allison worked extremely hard to put together a strong case against my child's father to present to the judge. They worked on my case not only during work hours but also during their time away from the office. Jeff,Allison and his employees did very well communicating with me about everything involving our case. They responded quickly always within a hour or two. All odds were stacked up against us including Jeff Courtney. I was told multiple times by previous attorneys that I had very little chances of winning. Jeff Courtney did not feel that way. He was confident and determined to fight for the well being of my son. He did just that! He and his employees believed in us and genuinely cared about our situation. We went to trial and he gave his all that day in a 9 hour long proceeding. He never stopped believing in us and what he truly felt was best for our child. I can't begin to express in words how his and his alison dedication not only gave us hope but also returned our son to us. We found out this last Friday the judge had come to his decision... He ordered for my son to be immediately removed from his father and back into our custody. My son can now thrive in a healthy loving enviroent away from physical and mental abuse! Jeff Courtney seceded where so many others had failed my son. We can now live our lives without the stress we have lived with for so many years. We can not thank them or appreciate Jeff Courtney, his wife Allison and his employees enough for their hard work and dedication to help my son.
