I just wanted to give a review and give you permission to post it online for your site. I came into Smith and Weer when I was facing a $25,000 lawsuit, the loss of my driving privileges and pending lawsuits from various creditors that I just could not pay. From the time I lost my home in 2008 until now, it has been a nightmare of debt and frequent trips to the courthouse to have my wages garnished. Due to all of the wage garnishments I was unable to keep my mortgage up.

From Vicky in the front office to my attorney, the process was so smooth and seamless. They gave me time to pay my attorneys fees. They didn't slam the door in my face because I couldn't come up with the money right away.

Today I opened up my mailbox and found a debit card ready for me to activate from an actual brick-and-mortar bank. No more prepaid cards or carrying around wads of cash!

Before I visited Smith and Weer, no bank would even look at me.

And the greatest news of all? I also found a letter in my mailbox today from the Secretary of State rescinding the pemding suspension of my driver's license and emoval of all of the fines and tickets from my record.

We own a small a small Fire, Water Mold Restoration company. Some time ago. we completed emergency service work for a local home owner who had a major indoor flood. The event should have been covered by the home owners insurance. Unfortunately the Insurance company was refusing to pay or even talk. This was a big job , lots of equipment and man hours involved, with no indication of ever getting paid. We went to Smith and Weer to get this messed straightened out. Sure it took some time, but in the end the insurance company did pay up.
If we find ourselves in needed of attorneys in the future, we will be calling Smith & Weer.

If a person wants to they can become an Attorney. Some are A+, some are just barely a D- and make the grade by the skin of their teeth.
My opinion is that Edgar Weer, and by default the rest of his firm are the D- variety.
The communication stream is non-existent, the representation is the weakest I have ever experienced, and the care taken on my case bordered on wreckless, leaving me open to future court action.
Ensure you do you homework and find an Attorney that actually knows a little about personal hygiene and can actually tuck in his shirt when meeting with customers.
I would believe Edgar was the basis for the new TV show "Better Call Saul", but the attorney depicted in that show actually is a step up from the Smith an Weer group.
I feel sorry for Mr. Weer's employees...
