Well worth every penny! His prices are very REASONABLE, I expected it to cost so much more. Mayer is reliable, straight forward, always willing to talk and answer any questions at any time that I had. He is not afraid to push the case and take it to trial when he knows his client is within their rights of the law. He did not let me take a plea deal when he knew we could win at a trial, he ended up getting it dismissed! Always get a lawyer that will fight for you like Mayer!
Best lawer in mansfield and surrounding areas. Has great relationships with the prosecutors and can help work things out.

Mr. James Mayer is not just an outstanding lawyer, but also a great person. He really cares about you and your case at hand. James personally helped me out with my case and honestly without him I wouldn’t be where I am at right now. Probably in prison. He has pointed me in the right direction with my life, not only as a lawyer but as a mentor as well. He will be my lawyer for the rest of my life if I have any other issues with the Law. Fingers crossed hopefully I don’t! ! When it is all said and done he treats you like a friend and really wants the best for you. He is outstanding and really knows his stuff and I 100% recommend Attorney at Law Mr. James Mayer III.

Never took my case seriously never tried to fight immediately wanted me to take a plea deal for a low level felony and when I did I was sentenced to the maximum. All this after I paid him $2500....i thought with his name and his connections in the area he would be the man to see not true.... I don't live in the area but if I ever got into trouble in mansfield area again I'd definitely call in a big name criminal defense attorney from Cleveland who wouldn't be scared to fight......

I got sited for drag racing at the well known racing area in Park Ave Mansfield , which is a 6 point penalty on my driving record with the anywhere from a 30 day to 2 year license suspension with the possibility of jail time and $1,000 fine. James did a fantastic job of representing me and managed to get me an incredible plea deal of a brake equipment violation! Zero points, zero time, only a $50 fine,I would highly recommend him for any moving violations! Worth every penny and costs less than my fines would've been if I didn't get an attorney, not to mention the increased Insurance. 5 stars wish I could give more!!

Contacted Attorney Mayer after being blind sided by 4 domestic violence charges. Currently going through a divorce & she needed to get the upper hand. Jim was very professional & knowledgeable. His office staff were always willing to assist with any questions & I always got an answer. Jim was so prepared for my trial & the way he handled everything was miraculous. The final result acquitted on all 4 charges!!!! Please do yourself a favor. If you need the best defense attorney in the area don't hesitate. Contact James Mayer

I'm going to start my review by providing a little history so you'll get an idea of what kind of mess I dropped in the lap of Mr. Mayer.... In January of 2016 I was charged with DUI and possession of a small amount of marijuana in Ashland County. I was sentenced to 40 days in jail and the usual license suspension of one year. I ended up serving 13 days of that time and was released. This is where things get interesting: Less than 6 days after I was released from jail, I was at Applebys and decided the drink menu looked better than the food menu and proceeded to (yet again) drink and drive. This time, I ended up in a ditch. Not one to make rational decisions a habit, I decided it was best not to stick around considering I had no license, was drunk, and was on probation. It didn't matter. I was charged with DUI anyway, along with leaving the scene of an accident, driving under suspension.... and just to set an example for people who can't keep it between the lines, failure to control. All while being on probation for a DUI/drug charge only a few months earlier. I'm the kind of defendant a typical attorney HATES to represent because there's nothing you can do with that type of stupidity. But James Mayer isn't typical. He was confident and self assured right from our first conversation. This guy isn't just a great lawyer.... he could play one on TV: Well spoken and articulate, supremely confident, and has the looks, fashion sense, and charm of a soap star. James worked the case for a few weeks..... made appearances for me so I didn't have to worry about going to court until the sentencing and disposition. When that time came, I went in front of the judge in Mansfield facing the 4 charges I mentioned previously, and I was utterly amazed at the outcome: EVERYTHING tossed out except the charge of leaving the scene. For that I was given a $75 fine... no additional suspension, no jail time, no additional probation. In a few months, my probation from Ashland County will be over, I'll have my license back, and my life has never been so tranquil. A little counseling and a new outlook has been priceless for me. James has a great deal to do with that, and if you're in a bind or need a high-powered legal bulldog in your corner, James Mayer is THE go-to guy in this area. When I was arrested I wanted the best attorney I could find, and that's exactly what I found with Jim.

The best lawyer in the area. He works with you and let's you know what's happening every step of the way. Allows you to also make decisions with him giving you ideas of what he would do and what will and will not work. Definitely will go back if needed.
