As I don’t wish to reveal my information, as anyone could understand an OVI scenario to be extremely embarrassing, I did create a throwaway account to provide this review. Not only embarrassing was this unfortunate situation but the sheer stress that came with it was terrible and quite frankly exhausting. That being said, I consider myself fortunate to not only receive the full dismissal of my OVI case despite having evidence of a BAC over the legal limit but more importantly to have partnered with Linda Malek and her firm. Trust me when I say that I had researched, contacted and had spoken with multiple attorneys prior to making my decision to move forward with this partnership. Although I was apprehensive about the financial burden that came with hiring an attorney, I can honestly say that she was the only smart decision I made during this entire process, clearly. If you’re reading this review because you’re unfortunately in the same situation I once was, then you may also be thinking to yourself, “gosh, that’s a lot of money, should I go with a more affordable option?” and my answer would be simple if you’re able. It goes back to the old saying that you truly get what you pay for, and in my opinion this is not one of those times to select the “off brand”. Linda Malek specializes in OVI’s, which was one of the main reasons I chose to partner with her. However, what truly set her apart from every other attorney and what solidified my connection is with which I would like to close my review. She said, “I treat every case like it’s my very first” which spoke wonders. I pictured myself graduating law school, passing the bar exam and taking on my very first case well knowing that I’d need to put in the extra time necessary to do the very best job possible. It meant to me that she cared about my personal situation and wanted to provide me the help that I desperately needed in one of the lowest times of my life.

Linda and her team are probably the most honest people I have met. She even contacted me and my family when I went with a different attorney. I feel that it is up to yourself to make the right decisions, but it was nice that she reached out. I hope to never see her again, but highly recommend. Not enough can be said about Linda and her team. Her experience (especially in OVI cases) is something you don’t see very often. Linda did an excellent job getting my OVI with an ALS for not blowing, knocked down to a 2 point non-alcohol related offense with no suspension and only $181 fine. I thought I had it in my mind how we should go after the case, but she told me just let her do her job and it would be OK. As a parent, when you have a child that does something stupid and you want to make sure the punishment fits the crime - call Linda. She was able to get our case dismissed. She is familiar with the Cleveland area docket, Plaintiff Attorneys and Judges. She is an excellent negotiator and she won't drain your wallet.

Linda is amazing!! She did every possible thing she could do to make sure I got the minimum punishment. It all worked out perfectly and I’m so thankful I had her at my lawyer! :)

Linda and her staff did an excellent job with my DUI. She got my driving privileges back within 2 weeks which was about a month earlier then I was suppose to receive privileges. She then got my DUI charge dropped down to a small traffic violation along with the dismissal of the year long ALS driving suspension.

She was very easy to work with.. seemed as if she was helping out family. Her assistant was very helpful and reminded me of court dates and updates on the progress of the case. Got my OVI dismissed in Medina County!

She filed a motion to suppress & was prepared to go to trial as the Medina County prosecutor thought it was “an open and shut case.” This guy had no idea who he was dealing with. She is one of only 2 attorneys in the state of Ohio certified in field sobriety training and knows big names at the highway safety institute.

She got copies of the body cams which showed the police failed miserably at asking me the right questions about my evening (bc I had some drinks but was not drunk!) & correctly executing the steps of performing the field sobriety test.

After she tt the prosecutor about the footage and made him actually watch it... he realized going to trial would embarrass the police, the county and himself for being incompetent and yet so arrogant. The judge, begrudgingly, agreed and dismissed the charges. THANK YOU!

When I first walked into Linda's office, I was not only facing jail time, but was at risk of losing primary custody of my children for said "offense". The issue, although something viewed as being very minor outside of court, was being made into something very serious in court. The lawyers I had before not only helped get me into the situation by not properly representing me, but they also did not guide me or give me the correct advice that would have avoided this situation altogether. If you are in search of a defense attorney, hire Linda Malek, no matter what you have to do to hire her. 5 billion stars are not enough to accurately represent how wonderful she is from every focal point in the horrifying legal process. My son was indicted on 17 counts: 14 felonies and 3 misdemeanors. Included in the counts was an F2,, F3s, F4s, 5 firearm charges each carrying a mandatory 3 year sentence to be served consecutively, sexual battery and sexual imposition, which required being on the registry for 20 years, and the misdemeanors. He was facing 58 years in prison. I had hired another attorney initially, and as the days passed, I had the worst feeling that I had made a terrible mistake. This attorney wasn't doing anything. My son felt that way, too, and so did his older brother. That's how I found Linda. My older son told me, "You better dump ____ and hire Linda. She's a shark and she will get things done. My brother's screwed if you don't." So I called her that night near midnight and she called me right back. That impressed me right there. After speaking with her that first time, I knew I had to hire her. If I had to sell my soul, I was going to hire her.

From the first conversation, Linda took control. I knew we would get the absolutely best outcome possible by hiring her. I would never have to say to myself, "oh my god, why didn't I fire ____ and hire Linda?" I could relax in that area. She took the immense burden from me and put it on herself. I'll never forget the day I visited my son in jail and told him "Your new lawyer is coming to visit you tomorrow". I have no idea how many hours behind the scenes Linda spent on case law, filing motions, and preparing my son's case. It had to be an immense amount. She is brilliant, hardworking, forceful, strong, highly detail oriented, honest, realistic, and her people skills are incredible. She spent many hours talking with me about the steps of the case, what was happening now and what would happen next, and reassuring me. I asked her to always tell me the truth, and she always did. She never sugarcoated anything. So when she told me positive, hopeful things, I could believe her. My son and I trust her completely. If she said something, it was true. Period. And they all turned out to be true! My son's case turned out the very best that it could have turned out. My son ended up pleading to two F3s. He went from 17 charges to 2 charges. His sentence was fair. He received 18 months and is out now on judicial. Linda took charge of the judicial release process and guided my son and me through it, explaining each step, when he should file, and what he needed to accomplish in prison in order to be granted release. Also, my son had an arrest warrant from a DUI in Traffic that made no sense. LInda got that recalled in 10 minutes, so that worry is gone. Linda calls to see how my son and I are doing. Linda went to the trouble of finding and giving us the name of a church that has programs for felons, without us asking! Linda did not have to do that. The fact that she did tells us all how caring she is.

Linda, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are so very grateful to you. Neither one of us would have survived without you. We will love you forever.

My son was faced with some serious charges, Several felonies and many misdemeanors in two different counties. My wife had hired another attorney for her second DUI w/refusal after getting pulled over for a speeding ticket. After a couple months it was clear that said attorney wasn't going to fight hard for her. After some discussion and sleepless nights we decided to fire her first attorney and seek new counsel. After my experience, I sincerely from the bottom of my heart would like to help make this choice easier for those in search of the best defense they can find. In my case she definitely exceeded my expectations by far. I was facing a felony 2 charge for improper discharge of a firearm into my neighbors condo, and a misdemeanor charge for using firearms while intoxicated. A charge that carries a prison term of 2 to 8 years. They also added a 3 year mandatory specification to it. So I was looking at a minimum of five years in prison. I was being charged as if I did it intentionally, but it was unintentional. Had I not had an attorney with a keen understanding of the specifics of the law, there’s no doubt I would have gone to prison. The charges were ultimately dropped to a felony 4. I won’t be going to prison, and it will be exponged after a year. My life could have been completely destroyed without Linda’s help. I have a 13-year-old daughter I thought I may not see the rest of her childhood, a thought which often brought me to tears. Thank you Linda.
