I have used Student Legal Services twice as a Kent State student. I was always able to get an appointment the week of or the next week when i called. I had Attorney Offineer. He was very respectful and explained everything that was going to happen. It was very helpful for someone who hasn't had much experience with the courts. I very much recommend this office for students.

I asked for my urgent help. For only one minute talk, they set up tedious procedures wasting 30 min. Finally, I give up on an apponitment. I wonder where is our backup. The kent state university is thoughtful to help us, but i am an international student. I am really helpless. Sad.......

The attorney accompanied me showing up in the court for expired registration and suspended insurance. She is nice. But at the end I was told that I have to pay extra 25 dollars for the attorney together with the fine and court fee. We pay legal service fee every semester. I don't understand why we still have to pay again. I called to ask about it. What the attorney explained is different from what the court clerk talked.

I had wonderful experience with SLS twice while I'm in KSU. First time I had issues with landlord, where I had a trouble getting my application fee refunded by JC apts. One of my friends suggested to advise with SLS, since we already pay them 20$ a semester as a KSU students. Making appointment was very easy by phone, and I received very professional and helpful assistance from Mr. Criss Sestak, who carried all paperwork to get my app. fee refunded from JC apts. Second time, I had to get my auto loan app. form notarized by attorney, then I went there again, since all other places like UPS do charge money. This time with incredible help from Mrs Carol Crimi I was able to get my paperwork done on time. Thank You Mrs Carol!!
Overall, my experience with KSU SLS was very satisfactory and I suggest all KSU students use these services!!

I had an appointment at 10am, waited an hour and still didn't get to see an attorney. I just left at 11am.
