Just updating this review....to 5 stars. I sent in my paperwork to reclaim my maiden name after my divorce was final and received my final court papers in under a month. My whole divorce process took approximately 5 months. I'm satisfied. No hiccups as long as you follow his detailed instructions and have no issues. The price is amazing....most Pittsburgh lawyers want $1500 up front before they will even consider your case. Thank you Mr Davis for helping those of us who can't afford that.

They are a legit business. My divorce will be finalized shortly thankfully. I must say I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because you really have to take a lot of time to make sure you read every little detail on the mail they send. Some of it and the way it is worded can be extremely confusing so If you miss one little detail it can delay your case and it will be your fault for the delay. That can be very frustrating when you pay extra for the fastest service and after spending a few hundred bucks to speed things up, you just end up getting delayed due to a small misunderstanding. I would recommend this place as it was recommended to me because they provide what they offer, but I must warn you that even if you are in a rush, read everything super carefully take your time and even re read for a few days in a row before filling out any of the forms and sending them back. I made the mistake of not understanding the separation date wording and paid for the fastest service just to have to wait 91 days anyway. That was very frustrating for me especially because you cant call in to clarify anything if you are confused about anything in the mail. They didn't make it clear and they worded it differently in several different places. all in all its finally over the money is paid and I cant change the past. I am just glad I will finally be divorced soon and this roller coaster can be over.

The divorce was only 219, but I would have paid much more to get rid of the ex!

I see alot of negative feed back here but its this simple. If you do everything the instructions tell you its a very fast and easy process. My gf started this process in march and it was just finalized this week. Quicker than stated. Its truly $219 but i added a service by choice so $265 was the final cost. Just follow the directions and send money orders. Much easier. I give Davis 5 stars because the entire experience was fantastic. Never skipped a beat. Thank you davis. We can now get married since her dead beat ex refused to pay for it. Glad i found you. I will recommend you to anyone that asks. 10 stars if it was an option on here.

Thank you Mr Davis for your help in getting me an inexpensive divorce! I couldn't have done it without you! For anyone wanting an easy, inexpensive divorce, look no further than Davis Divorce Law. He has been doing these types of divorces for decades, and has prefected the process. Just make sure to read everything carefully and follow the directions. I will be forever grateful for your advice and guidance!

You get what you pay for. If you want fast and inexpensive, this is the guy for you.

My advice to you is... make copies of every single paper. Be nice to your ex and give them a copy. DO NOT throw ANY papers away until your divorce is final. Every question you ask them and every replacement paper they need to send you will cost you time and money.

And if you are the defendant, don’t expect to get a certified copy of the divorce decree. More advice to you... don’t get it through Davis. They charge $30.00 plus an additional $10.00 for each additional certified decree. Send a letter with your request for a certified decree along with your money order made payable to ‘Prothonotary’ to Potter County Courthouse. They will send you one for $5.00.

And lastly... if you are going to change your last name, go directly through Potter County Courthouse. It’s easiest to go through them because they already have all your information. All you will need to to is call the prothonotary office and they will email you SIMPLE paperwork to complete the name change for only $5.00 as opposed to the $45.00 fee that Davis charges.

Please call Potter County Courthouse to ensure that prices haven’t changed.

So, after I posted this review, Mr. Davis asked to speak with me about his policies. After a very nice conversation, I did decide to use his services and I am very glad I did. The process was actually very streamlined and swift and I had no reason to even contact him, as his communications were very clear and concise. My divorce was handled smoothly and was processed within the timeline he gave me. I have updated to a 5 star review...although I would give him 10 stars if it were possible. This attorney is well worth your money.

4 stars because his website makes no mention of the policies he has set forth that could result in you being charged quite a bit of money. So I am out the $25 I paid to find out that his way of doing business does not suit my needs. I did find another attorney offering the same service for the same price who does not have those policies. I can even call, or email him for free if I have questions.

I am very sure that this attorney is extremely good at what he does, he did deliver my packet faster than was promised. His paperwork packet leads me to believe that he is very intelligent, detail oriented and extremely organized...these are very good things! However, as a consumer I prefer to be told about policies, especially those that can result in additional charges, up front before I give you any money. So, I have exercised my choice to not have him handle my divorce.

There’s an old saying about the three types of service: good, fast, and cheap. The person buying the service picks two while sacrificing the third. Thus, good service fast isn’t cheap; good service cheap isn’t fast; and fast service cheap isn’t good.

Mr. Davis will provide good service; you must decide if you want it fast (for a price) or cheap (more slowly).

Communications were very straightforward, forms were easy to fill out and clearly explained what was needed in order to proceed.

My divorce was completed within two months, cost me less than $300, and all I had to do was fill out 2-3 questionnaires and sign some forms. Well worth the peace of mind knowing it was done correctly instead of trying to file pro se and worrying about making a procedural error.

My only regret is not finding Mr. Davis and his firm sooner!

I had a divorce in 2005 and my experience was perfect. I followed exactly what they wanted me to do and all communication was through the mail. I received my paperwork without any problems. I will refer this company to all I know. Not to mention they didn't burn my pockets

I see people complaining of them not calling you back. Instructions IN the welcome packet tell you to contact by mail ONLY. I didn't mind this. It was the easiest way to do things for me. The process was so smooth and simple I couldn't ask for a better divorce attorney. Everything is self explanatory and my divorce was done within such a short amount of time and finalized before I even knew what was happening! I was so happy with this service and I would recommend this to ANYONE seeking an easy divorce. He kept me up to date with everything that was happening. The fee was extremely reasonable as well. Both spouses should get a certified copy of their decree and not just the Plaintiff. What if the Defendant wants to remarry as well. I'm giving it 3 stars for this reason. And wants more money from the Defendant if they want a certified copy. The additional money should be an option BEFORE the final paperwork is submitted to courts.

In addition to your response Mr. Davis. You sent me a letter saying that you would not give me the address to the Courts so I could contact them directly to get a certified copy. I had to do the research myself and made copies of the documents prior to returning them to you. None-the-less, your client (my ex-wife) is no longer welcomed in the states per the U.S. Government. So, I don't think we will be seeing her anytime soon. Finally, services may be offered to clients but clients (customers) don't have to take on those necessary add-ons, yet you offer many other services like faster service, fastest service, overnight to court ect. But can't offer a add-on service where both parties can obtain their decree together. Without the defendants (me) cooperation, she wouldn't have gotten her divorce and would have been required to actually go to court and face a judge. Not many people want to pay $30.00 to $40.00 when a decree is only worth $5.00 (500% to 700% mark-up).

(Note: You charge for everything else, I'm just surprised you aren't charging your clients for you taking the time out of your life to respond to all these post.)

Before I called Davis Law I called two other attorneys. Other law firms are quite happy to hold your hand and do all the work for you for a very handsome fee. I chose to save money. I did want an attorney so that I could avoid costly mistakes and Davis Law gave me exactly what I needed. I did pay more than 219.00. However I selected at least two additional options that were to my benefit. The additional costs were clearly spelled out. I am extremely pleased with both the final price as well as the piece of mind that my divorce is final, done correctly and very quickly. I also didn't have to waste my days off dealing with the paperwork on my own.

The worst ever!!!!! I was attracted to the cheap price but they will nickel and dime you over and over and over again. I am so glad to be done. They are way behind in times and only work through the mail. Whoever writes those annoying letters, you can tell is a very controlling and unhappy person. I ended up paying way more than what they advertise and the threats they give in their notices are very disturbing. I will say the divorce is finally final and they did it but I do not like rude, controlling bullies even if they get the job done. It was a one star but because it ended up finalizing, I gave 2 stars. Make no mistake the bad reviews are true, they are very rude and highly defensive people.

I don't know what the issue is with the negative reviews below. Simply request the information. READ ALL OF IT, and you will have a clear understanding of whether this practice is the right fit for you. Bottom line, if either party is contending or blaming you have to go elsewhere and of course it will cost you. However, if you are both cordial and in agreement, this MAY be a good fit for you. Everything, EVERYTHING, is clearly spelled out in all of the correspondence, follow it and you too will save yourself tons of aggravation and money. Don't give a bad review because this practice doesn't fit your needs, that's not fair. What they offer is clearly spelled out, cost are straight forward, and if you have a question you can write and they will respond. They just don't have the time to talk to everyone personally and they DO NOT hide that fact.

This lawyer was horrible they are rude and nasty and They aren't helpful at all .... I did my divorce in 2011 with these guys and come to find out it might not even be legal watch out and stay clear of these people !!!!!!!!!!!

So since this is the only way I can say anything without calling you because that charge is $40 as I now know . If my divorce is final and 100% legal why the nasty notes and the extra charges ??? I paid to have my name changed that didn't happen and then I didn't know you couldn't call and I called and now i have to pay $40 for something I never got a response too if you want this Google review down send me my divorce papers ! So I can find out If it is actually 100% legal for real or not because there's alot if questions about if it's legal or not with your non colored seal letter you sent me !

I used this lawyer for my divorce on 2010 and it went well the only complaint I have is I wanted to take my maiden name back and wasn't able to because it didn't specify that in my papers .. also I have since lost my divorce papers and it's been a bit of a hassle trying to get them . But while I was going threw my divorce it was all fairly easy !

Totally unprofessional. The attorney himself is a bully. Attempted to get a copy of final divorce decree from 10 years ago but instead received a nasty letter from the attorney. Make sure you write instead of calling if you're looking for copies of anything! Otherwise you'll end up with a nasty letter and them trying to get $40 out of you for the PHONE CALL! Is it even legal to charge $40/call, without the callers prior knowledge of the charge???
