I had been battling the State (Pa) for over 2 years over what my legal residence was for the last 2 months of 2014. The State was convinced, and ready to take an action, that I owed them state tax on $500k of income.
When I knew that their inquiry was going to turn into a case I retained Scaringi. After some forensic work on me and my documentation, Scaringi presented the facts to the State in such a way that the State withdrew and closed the case in my favor. Over the years I have used Scaringi and Scaringi Law for numerous different personal and business items, and have never had anything but positive experiences. Their staff and attorney's have been exceptional at communicating either in person, on the phone or via email. When trying to schedule around my hectic business schedule for consultations, and meetings they always find a time that was convenient for me. Always professional.

They flat out robbed me of $4,500 and put me on a worse situation than when I started. I was fighting for custody of my son. The first lawyer they gave me flat out lied and said she HAD to show up to a meeting by law, which she didn't. Then just sat there and does absolutely nothing that cost me a few hundred dollars. Then when I had to go to domestic relations the 2nd lawyer they assigned to me claimed he could help me pay less. So he came, and handed my ex ALL the paperwork I had given the law office, all the evidence and notes I had on her that would help me. And guess who paid $175/hr plus materials for this snake to make the copies?! This place is a scam and only rob you and make you need a lawyer even more. If I wanted to screw myself, I don't have to pay someone $4,500 to do it for me. I’d guess the only positive reviews are from people that work there or friends.

HURRY AWAY FROM SCARINGI LAW and Erin Komada FIND A DIFFERENT LAW OFFICE with caring lawyers, my sister signed with Erin Komada and after agreeing on terms and knowing her situation they ripped her off wasting all retainer money on spending 30 mins reading emails and being charged for it $100 for reading an e mail that's just a part of how they exhausted her $2000 retainer on couple phone calls and emails and billed her another bill with $5000 after a week from her paying $2000, anyway there was no progress done after all of that for me to give them more money or to keep working with them, specially communication was the worst and have to wait couple days to have an email reply from them or to get a hold of them, I contacted the office and asked for involvement of firm owner/manager but he wasn't any better, I had to fire them, THEY ARE JUST A SHAME TO SUCH A SENSITIVE HONORABLE PROFESSION, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SAVE YOURSELF MONEY, TIME & ANY TROUBLE DEALING WITH THEM.

PS after That I heard that they have a reputation from other lawyers for ripping people off and just taking their money as a retainer and then surprise them with a big bill after. What a shame!

They're over priced and want too much for retainers. Their secretary's can't get keep good notes and enter wrong information. Will never go back. Find another firm.
