In May of 2016, I consulted with Mr. Brooks on the possibility of him representing me at a hearing specific to a security clearance investigation being adjudicated on my behalf. Mr. Brooks was extremely professional and competent in the matter telling me exactly what I needed for him to proceed possibly eliminating the need for the hearing at all. In early September of 2016, I was informed by Mr. Brooks, and by the Department of Defense, that their need for clarification on concerns they had was satisfied, and a hearing was not required.
