I noticed some bad reviews, but I can honestly say that to me, it sounds like they went to a completely different law firm than I did. From Jonathan to his support staff, they were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend Jonathan to anyone (including family!) who needs a bankruptcy lawyer.
We sought legal counsel and Jonathan agreed to assist us, just as we were contemplating “walking away” from our home (not an easy decision to have to consider). I cannot express how comfortable he made us feel through this process. He drew up a contract to represent us and while we SLEPT, he did just that — represented us, advised us accordingly and communicated with us only when necessary. We have had an experience with an attorney whom I literally had to argue and seek assistance from another attorney, in order to make him do that for which he had been consulted and paid. We only seek legal counsel when we are not being treated fairly and know there are laws and established processes of which we have no knowledge or experience, to protect us.
Jonathan is not arrogant and we felt he genuinely was concerned about our ordeal. He did not know us personally; we were completely honest with him so that he could get a sense of who we are and advocate on our behalf.
When dealing with professionals, there is nothing more comforting than being able to trust them and the process, to rest assured they are working on our behalf; unfortunately this is not always or even usually the case — we left his office flabbergasted! Not only had Jonathan brought us to a better position, but he vowed to continue advocating to bring forth a legal outcome that would put us in an even better position to not have to continue struggling to stay afloat.
Do not trust the mortgage company, although the application process is absolutely the same, they may not make the modifications as indicated to the full extent of the law. We believe if it’s legally possible, Jonathan and the I. Mark Cohen Group will advocate to make it happen. Thank you Jonathan!
