My recent experience with Lesley Renee Adams was that she is supportive and knowledgeable. My husband and I went to see this woman about two weeks ago. I was ecstatic since she was an African American female based out of Newark, NJ. Although, we were charged a $260 consultation fee I didn't mind because I thought we were going to get great advice coming from a sincere person. Boy was I wrong, this woman was the rudest unprofessional (being nice) I ever met. Her body language from the beginning was nasty, condescending, and unprofessional. She never offered advice but rather criticized our efforts and thoughts. My husband who has a thick Caribbean accent was explaining his situation and she looked at him with disgust and said " I don't understand a word you just said" This coming from a dignified lawyer. We stayed a total of 30 minutes only to be ridiculed and snuffed. On top of that $5000 for legal representation. Now if she wasn't so nasty my husband and I would of considered her services. It's sad you try to support black businesses and people like this deter you. We found another lawyer who has treated us like we matter . Promise you this is not a fake or competitor post..as she likes to say. Don't waste your consultation money she was not nice to us.

In reference to her response what does my pregnancy have to do with any of this; can you see the pettiness and unprofessionalism. She knows nothing about our finances or the lawyer we retained but she assumes because I'm pregnant we couldn't afford her. This coming from a woman. In addition, she states we were unprepared however she never once offered to reschedule or even ask us to fax documents to better understand the case. We are not lawyers which is why we came to her for advice. However, she quickly deposited our consultation fee; no empathy. People you've been warned.

I called in seeking assistance and a consultation was scheduled. I payed the $260 dollar consultation fee and a phone interview undertook. She claimed to be a judge and etc. on the phone the whole conversation was geared as she was giving me legal advice which is not what I was calling for. Typically, such things are to see if the lawyer will take your case, not to tell you what to do elsewhere, as she did from the very start! She then told me that the case will start at costing $30K minimum and upwards of $100K, which is completely absurd and is very far from reality! I got the feeling from the start that she had no intent on taking the case and I was there to give her $260 while I got some bad legal advice.

Lesley truly saved me when my wife went crazy and filed DV charges against me. She destroyed her and her witness on the stand and the wife did not get a FRO. If you are smart you will get Lesley to represent you, that is it!
