I started my case at this office about 3 moths ago on my 1st visit. I was really impressed with the staffs. They were very proffessional, courteous and pleasant.
The lawers are very proffesional. I was really pleased how they handled my case in the court. They explained all the procress and they were very easy to understand. Today Jan 11, 2019 is my final day in court and i will be advesrtising this law office to all my friends and family that need a lawyer for any legal issues.
Well done staffs and lawyers Have a great New Year.

This review is in response to my previous post. One star is due to unprofessional conduct, putting profit ahead of customer needs and being fake. For the record you did not spend 6 hours defending me in court. Secondly, I paid you prior to going to court and last but not least I was never in danger of eviction. The co-op / board proposed the following : Sell or they would buy my co-op at market value for a breach of the bylaws. You stated you negotiated 6 months well I didn't get that copy it stated 4 months on page 4 of 4. The fact is I was in court from 9-1pm. After all of that time you tried to rush me into signing off on the Stipulation to Settlement without reading it . Expressing that you wanted to go to lunch. (smh) I'm literally disgusted with you and your fake news. So don't bother to respond unless it's an apology which is what most reputable businesses would concede to. Furthermore the reason I used the internet to express my dissatisfaction is to save someone else from a similar experience. I paid for the services because it's the right thing to do even thou you didn't do the right thing. It's not the owness of the lawyer who referred me to act professional. It's your responsibility to be professional. As a matter of fact It is the "American way of life" you know. So In spite of your decision not to apologize I still wish you good karma and a nice day.

I was referred to this law office by a lawyer I had used in the past. Therefore I thought Mr. Tella was a professional, reputable and knowledgeable of co-op litigation. Based upon my experience Augustin Tella came to court unprepared running personal errands while I hired him. During my initial meeting with him regarding a Notice of Tenancy filed by the Co-op. He said " I don't want to say you don't have anything to worry about but you don't. Well I believed him and all my fears of losing my case were realized on October 29, 2018. In fact nothing he said was accurate. Everything I related to him during our initial meeting that the co-op lawyer stated would happen did. I'm irate because I could have represented myself and made a better deal. On the date of my court appearance the office attempted to charge me an additional $450 for a missed appearance when Mr. Tella stated he would be on vacation and wanted to represent me personally. At no point did he mention a fee until my court date. Lastly, I was given misinformation regarding my case. I paid this office $900 and I was not given good service. In hindsight I suggest anyone in need of a lawyer get a referral from the American Bar Association. Unfortunately I have no other choice but to report him to the Bar Association.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS ATTORNEY!!!!! Me and my husband obtained his services to start an eviction for our tenants non payment of rent. We were instructed to give them a detailed breakdown of the money owed to us that would be submitted to the court on our behalf, we came in, submitted the breakdown, signed the necessary documents and paid the Marshall fee. On the first day of court, we get a call from the attorney , not Mr. Tella who we thought would be in court , but Josh asking how much money were we owed to date. Aren’t you supposed to be prepared when you go to court and why wouldn’t you call the day BEFORE you go to court to make sure all the information you have is up to date? Fast forward, the substitute attorney provided the wrong arrears amount and 5 months owed rent was left out of the Judge’s stipulation!!!!! When we addressed Mr. Tella, first he tried to say we received the money, then when I asked him to show me where we received it and he couldn’t show me, then he says “ oh she’s right.” He tells us that he’s going to start another case to get us our money owed, we pay ANOTHER FEE, and they forget to file the new case to the court!!!! Now to much time has elapsed and we are unable to get our money owed to us. His staff are very rude, unprofessional, nasty, lack customer service skills, loud, I could go on and on. PLEASE STAY CLEAR OF THE LAW OFFICE!!!! The only reason they get 1 star is because it’s the only way I’m allowed to leave a review

Please don't waste your time with this lawyer, he doesn't charge per hour, he charge per appearance at the rate of $850. Which means if you go to court and you only use 5 minutes of his time or judge adjourned the case he's charging you a full $850. No reason a attorney in Jamaica Queens should charge this much, as he's not a top notch lawyer. He will send someone to represent you without you knowing and pays them at a lower rate, while he go represent other cases that he's getting paid more for, like trial cases. When I first sat with him he gave me faith as if he's going to really fight for me, but it was all a show for me to hire his firm. I was so disappointed. Very unprofessional!

When I first met this lawyer, you can sense the jovial spirit he has. His staff remembered myself and family from the very first visit to get legal notices despite the many people they are in constant contact with. Eveyone was extremely friendly and helpful especially Ms. Atoya. There was a misscomunication issue nothing major that was fixed right away upon mention of it. He gets straight to the point. He makes the best decision on what may just be the best possible outcome for your case. Basically he does his job and does it well. My family and I will forever be grateful to him and his staff.

It's okay, no one wants to to Landlord court. The check in process is quick. The court process went like clockwork, I was done in a short time.

We had an issue with a squatter in my building. My tenant who I had gave a lease to had vacated the apartment. A squatter thought he had rights to the apartment because he paid the utilities. The case ended up going to trial and Mr. Tella was able to settle the case on my behalf as that the sqautter didnt have rights to the apartment
