Spoke to Mr. Adams for the first time yesterday and to be quite frank I was highly disappointed. You would think that someone who has been the victim of an injustice would be highly sympathetic to other victims of an injustice but that wasn't the case with him. His tone was and mannerism was rude and uninviting. I was constantly reminded that "time is money" and that another attorney wouldn't be on the phone with me that long. And this was during the first 3 minutes of our phone call. I was scolded about not emailing my inquiry to him because according to his logic this is how (paraphrasing) "most attorney's prefer to communicate". It felt like i was talking more to a hustler instead of a professional attorney who actually cares about justice. But the biggest insult came When we were discussing the particular facts of my case and my repeated protest that a prosecutor cannot KNOWINGLY use perjured testimony, false statements, and planted evidence to obtain a conviction and how these facts under the law justify an automatic reversal of conviction, Mr. Adams would then sarcastically proclaimed ... "Now Mr. Green you know these things don't matter to the court, if they did an attorney or you yourself being "pro se" would have had your conviction reversed by now". I found those remarks to be highly offensive, ignorant, and even somewhat uneducated about the law. As first and foremost I DO NOT believe that the laws and case holdings that protect defendants and their due process rights from prosecutions and convictions that are KNOWINGLY procured by false statements, perjured testimony, and most certainly PLANTED EVIDENCE were founded in vein and you would think a man that was WRONGFULLY sent to prison would be up in arms about any and ALL injustices and wouldn't be ok with his reality of courts not caring about these types of deception of court. However, I disagree because clearly JUST COURTS must care about these unethical tactics because courts have repeatedly held that these matters are a direct breach of a defendant's Fifth and Fourteenth Amendment Rights to Due process of law and any knowledgeable attorney would know that and not try to discourage someone from using a valid argument to clear their name . Second, Mr. Adams knows just as well as I do about the struggles and hurdles that most Pro Se inmates face while presenting their own case in court, as not having counsel gives room to have your case erroneously denied, final orders denying relief by the Attorney General and or State rubber stamped/ etc. Which were key factors in my matter as I have NEVER received a direct denial of my arguments from a judge that were based on HIS OWN FACTS and CONCLUSIONS of LAW! and not merely an adopted argument by the State. Bottom line is, I found Mr. Adams entire approach to be arrogant and its odd because you would think that someone who has been disrespected by the courts, taken advantage of and wrongfully sent to prison because of his income, color and ignorance of the law, would immediately recognize an injustice when it's presented to him and not remind a potential client how much time he's been on the phone with him and that "time is money". I will not be recommending his services.
