My father who speaks Haitian Creole is at risk of homelessness and I need a Power of Attorney in order to do any housing applications for my father. I deeply regret taking my mom to this attorney. He’s extremely insentive and offensive. His response to everything is “I don’t care”. He will cut you off mid sentence. He criticized my mother instead of simply expressing the potential weaknesses of her case. He made it a point the finger. I’m sure he has biases but also very willing to quickly take your money. At first site, the firm seemed genuinely concerned about the issue I was having when it came to child custody. but from the first court appearance, Jayson Lutzky who I paid and talked to about my issues didn't even show up. He sent someone else who knew nothing about my case, and she literally was telling me what I was going to get, instead of trying to help work towards what I wanted. all I heard was no this is what you will get, no you cant have that time, no this no that. So after letting them know I didn't want to be represented by anyone other than Mr. Lutzky himself. I finally got him, as I said be fore he came off very caring and understanding. But after that, I could never get him on the phone to discuss my case, I could never get a call back. I lived out of state so me being there in person every time wasn't a option. But every time I called the offices for help, I would never get a call back. the only time I received a phone call or email reply from the firm, was when they were trying to collect payment. Maybe this firm is good at other things, just not child custody. My son's best interest was never even considered. and when we were in court MR. Lutzky and his staff were always unprepared. The judge constantly was asking why something wasn't being done or court documents weren't being presented by Mr. Lutzky. I'm not a lawyer by any means, so I have no clue what documents or stuff I'm supposed to have. Even after I told Mr. Lutzky I no longer wanted to be represented by his law firm, he failed to send that paperwork to the court. Which is a mandatory process after you are not representing someone any more. and he failed to do that. That was my experience, so if you're looking for a child custody lawyer maybe this isn't the best firm to deal with. Maybe they are amazing in everything else. But child custody isn't one of them.

My husband and I found Jayson Lutzky through an Internet search several years ago. Both of us have used his services for a few different legal matters--a co-op purchase and writing our wills, for example--and he's been terrific. He first attempted to keep it and made a thinly veiled insult (joke in extremely poor taste) when I asked him to account for the work he did in that hour. This is when he explained he bills in 15 minute increments and the 23 second voicemail his office left counted as that :/

Well, let me tell you my bitter experience with this man. He messed up my case. My ex-wife filed a protection order against me, based on lies. Two weeks before my hearing, I payed him whatever he asked for. After paying I tried multiple times contacting him by calling his office and spoke to his unprofessional staff. They never gave me any appointment and always told me that they will call me back and that he was so busy. I never got any appointment. We did not meet at all. The first time I met him, was on the day of my hearing. He came to me and I offered him to sit with me, which he rejected. He told me to accept all the charges against me so we both don't have to go through trial, I said, I gave you all the proofs, you have a solid case in your hand and I will not accept the charges. Later he asked if my ex wife was there, she was sitting behind me few meters away. He went to her and was very friendly with her and her lawyer. He had a long conversation with them, then he came to me and said you know they don't have any proof but you should try to make a deal, if not then you will lose the case, everyone will be there to see your show including me (he pointed himself) and said now depend on you if you want to be a show or what? I was totally demoralized and sad about what he said. This was my first appearance in the court in my life. I did not know how things worked in the justice system of USA.
I said Mr. Lutzky I gave you all the proofs against this lady and how can you tell me that I am going to be a show and going to lose the case?
In the hearing, this man did not ask any relevant question, did not ask about any proof. What I noticed that even judge did not give him any respect.
