Contracted with this firm to do a simple separation conversion in an uncontested action. For whatever reason the paralegal waited seven months to file with the courts. What should have taken 6-9 months (as I was told by the attorney handling my case) took 18 months to complete. I never could get an explanation of why the filing was delayed. I never was contacted by a principal of the firm. In fairness, the fee was reasonable. Just be aware that you will need to stay on top of them for prompt results.

Chris and his staff were very professional, knowledgeable and always responded promptly. They were very understanding of my personal situation and were flexible and accomodating when needed. I would recommend this firm and would use them again in the future if the need presented itself.

I had a scheduled consultation with Mr. Palermo regarding a post marital situation with my ex-wife. I was told by Mr. Palermos office that he had prior experience going against the same opposing counsel as this case and had won. Upon arriving for my consultation, scheduled and confirmed with Mr. Palermo and waiting some time, I was told Palermo wasn’t “available” and I was put with a female associate who again told me he wasn’t available and gave me. I believe, she said she recently graduated from Hofstra Law. She excused herself several times during our meeting? It is my belief, Mr. Palermo was indeed in the office as she was running back and forth towards his office to consult with him and asking her regarding my case. It’s obvious Palermo wasn’t interested in me or the case as his female associate told me the retainer would be $15K. Laughable. If he didn’t want the case, he should have manned up and just said that. Instead of playing this coward game of “sending your junior associate in”. Be a man and don’t take the case. But childish games like this?!! I ended up hiring an attorney who won my case in court. I would stay as far away as you can from this attorney and this law firm. Extremely unprofessional! Cookie cutter law firm at best. If you have a challenging case (which, again, I ended up winning, this is certainly not the firm. STAY AWAY!!!! FAR AWAY?!!

Especially Beatrice - she is the glue that holds that office together. We settled the case with a Stipulation Agreement within a year. In the end - I was able to keep my house & see my kids often.
