They stole my friend's money and documents and didn't do a minute of immigration work for her! 2 years later we are still fighting to get her documents back. We even had to call the NY Bar Association.
BEWARE DO NOT TRUST!

We paid her upfront $1500 for an immigration case. Once the money was taken, there was absolutely no other interaction. We tried calling, emailing etc. She would ask us to call next day at a certain time and never answer the call when we call at that particular time. And we would wait until the end of the day, still no response. She has absolutely no respect for client’s time and schedule. Even if there was no update on the case, we expect a decent way to get that point across. We never received any proof regarding anything that had been done on the case. We terminated our consul after 2 months. She gave back $750 and never explained to us what was done on the case. We asked for our file several times, but she doesn’t respond. Does not email back or reply to our messages. Awful experience.

horrible attorney. those 5 star reviews were done by her office. No one ever picks up or returns calls. When you do manage to get a hold of someone they say she's in court or on vacation.

Ms. Cheema and her team is outstanding and very knowledgeable. Each time i reached out to them, no matter how busy they are they take their time out to listen and advise you. Office is shared space with other firms/businesses. Her two or three employees arent very knowledgeable and the law firm seems to be of someone who recently passed the bar. More professionalism needed.

It was a wonderful experience working with Zahra. I certainly made the right choice a year ago. She did a nice job on filling in all the forms, collecting the information and materials and preparing me for the greencard interview. Everything went so smooth and exactly like what she suggested. I'm not sure what's going on, but this attorney has received several 5 star reviews over the past 3 weeks following several negative reviews from real people facing real hardships because of this attorney. It seems this attorney may be using a paid service to boost her reviews. I do not know for sure, but this attorney should be aware that I will be reporting this to the google community forum to investigate.

The reason I'm leaving this review is because a friend of mine had her entire immigration case severely delayed due to this attorney. Ms. Cheema repeatedly lied to her and her family for over a year about the status of her case. The attorney did not do a single thing on her case and has not returned her money to date. She cannot work, drive, or go to school because of this attorney.

For anyone who has been defrauded by this attorney, please submit a complaint to the Grievance Committee for the Tenth Judicial District, located at 150 Motor Parkway, Suite 102, Hauppauge, NY 11788. Apparently the process is very simple and all you need to do is include whatever proof you have with your complaint. My friend is going this route and hopefully justice will prevail.

I waited to submit my application until there was only a week left so I went to get and she sent it out within two days.

Not worth the money or energy, because you will end up having to do all the leg work to get your own answers, as she is not communicative after money is collected.

This lawyer is a con, she stole $4,000 from my family for a work she could not perform. She agreed to return the money because she had numerous excuses why she could not proceed. She gave us $2700 and by the time we reached the bank, she canceled the check. She is very unprofessional and she is a terrible liar.

I got my green card about a year earlier than expected, without an interview. I had a different lawyer before who never responded. But she always answers and does extra.

Awful experience, asked her not to file my case after few days. Never answered any calls or replies to the email, a complete waste of time and money. The only time she called was when I told her that I don't want her to file my case. I was told that I will get a partial refund and would send back my documents but never got either of them as well and she won't answer any of my calls of email now as usual.

Total waste of time. When you finally get a hold of her she is very pleasant over the phone but does absolutely nothing on your case. Further adds to the notion that immigration attorneys are all scumbags

5 months after I was told I would get a call back momentarily, I’m still waiting. I called multiple times, only to reach voicemail. Never got a call back. Not even when I specifically mentioned in voicemail that I would be willing to come in the office with an appointment if they have a problem with phone consultations. Thank goodness I don’t need it anymore.
Zero stars if possible.
