Very unethical and very hard to reach. I left several messages to get ahold of Mr. Shattuck to discuss my case and no response. I just left it alone thinking that he quit on me. Then after 6 months he charges my card for another $2500 and we never went to court? Not worth the $!!! Kelly Shattuck is a horrible lazy excuse of a man and a bad representation of lawyers everywhere. We went to him because I read some good reviews. READ THE BAD REVIEWS!. My wife works as a paralegal and wanted to keep her stuff private and away from an amazing law team ( bad move) We went to him for help basing it off the good reviews. My wife did all the leg work, EVERYTHING! And he only met with us 2 times as my wife eventually just did the paper work herself and found herself still paying an arm and a leg just because his paralegal worked slow and he still charged for the WORK MY WIFE DID! I can’t speak for anyone else in that office but when it comes to him and his paralegals they ARE LAZY, at the end my wife could have done it her self. We should have stuck with Dornan Law team! They care about their customers and bend over backwards to help. We don’t mind having to pay whatever it took to get what we wanted but for a lazy piece of trash like Kelly Shattuck to do this is disgusting. 100% advice you to stay away from him. I feel bad for the single mother of 5 who wrote a bad review, if my bad review doesn't make you think twice, read hers if you don't walk away then you deserve to be treated the way we did. God forbid you to look like you have money, or you look poor, or you just look like an idiot in his eyes, be prepared to be taken advantage of. This place is not A SAME-SEX ADVOCATE! They found out we were married and fighting a man who only acts like he cares about his daughter because his father threatened him to step it up or he would be banned from his million dollar business.NOT GAY-FRIENDLY AT ALL!

Kelly Shattuck is misleading, lazy and greedy. DO NOT HIRE HIM FOR ANYTHING!!!! The way he practices is criminal. He should be disbarred! He takes advantage of a very sad and unfortunate situation like child custody and divorce. Be careful of the fine print with interest charges. As a single Mom of five I have been unable to pay him the amount he wants in the time he wants it. A simple custody/parenting plan that never went to trial (I was not even married) has now become $18,000 in debt and he has just garnished my checking account and cleaned out all the money I had to my name. Two weeks before Christmas. This man is a heartless and soulless predator who prays on the vulnerable at a time of misfortune. He uses a collection agency that hasn't even existed since 2007...Phoenix Enterprises....I couldn't even find it to make arrangements. Head my warning and do not hire him for ANYTHING!

I am not one to write reviews but I am extremely disappointed in my ex attorney Charles Grimes, I hired him for my legal custody battle which is a very important thing for a parent going through this type of ordeal, I paid a retainer fee of 1500 and worked with Charles for two months, during this time I had to constantly keep checking on my case status, for every call or e-mail you send you are charged so I felt I was being robbed, if you hire an attorney they should be on top of things and constantly calling you for updates, I would call or e-mail Charles with no response at time, I came to an agreement with my child's other parent and we agreed to sign an agreement after this I never herd from Charles for about 3 weeks and my child's other parent backed out of the agreement, I was very disappointed and had to fire this attorney for those purposes, I regret not reading reviews on this firm, all I got out of this was money down the drain and my parental rights pending

A few years ago, started my divorce process with Kelly Shattuck. I feel that he was reckless with my case and only looking out for himself. He made me loose a lot of money due to his mistakes. Here is the story:

After trying to serve papers to my ex personally, by sheriff and then by publication (the last try before she would be "in default"), Mr. Shattuck set up a hearing for a default divorce. The day of the hearing Mr. Shattuck was not present and he had a replacement lawyer that I had never met take his place. To make things worse, we began and the judge started looking over the papers for the case. Almost immediately, the judge said that we cannot do a default hearing yet. It was only 60 days since the publication and we were supposed to wait 90 days. I used vacation time from work and he wasted my time.

Default divorces are supposed to be extremely easy and your spouse cannot get half of your possessions. However, after he messed up, my ex responded in the final 30 days after publication and the process continued. This made the divorce cost even more, since Mr. Shattuck charged me for further actions after his mess up. Also, I lost half of my retirement account due to his mistake.

Mr. Shattuck and his staff are only trying to get as much money out of you as possible. They have no concern for you personally. If you want a good lawyer for your divorce, get someone that will look out for your interests.

P.S. I sent Mr. Shattuck an email and it cost me $85 for him to take 15 minutes to read and respond to it.

Early in the divorce case, chris vacannti stated he was at hearing of which my ex was awarded the family home. I was not notified of the award, nor its discussion at the hearing. Without knowledge, I went to get my clothes from the marital home. This resulted in a protection order application against me by my ex. After reviewing order (6 weeks old at the time)...it showed that chris was not present at the hearing and signed only by opposing counsel and judge. I checked with clerk and the order was delivered to chris via email. Staff gave me 3 different stories as to why I was not informed. Ultimately, chris stated the order went to his "spam" email folder. I released him that day. Mike freed

If I could give more stars I would! I had FANTASTIC representation from Kelly Shattuck. I recently went through a custody battle for my now 9 month old son. I had previous representation before Kelly from a lawyer I found online that offered a free consultation. This lawyer left me in a terrible situation where a plan to phase into joint custody was in place. I am a young mom (19) and this first lawyer took advantage of me and left me with a massive bill. Kelly not only helped me avoid paying the fraudulent bill, but he ended up getting me SOLE physical custody. Kelly charges more then most lawyers, but he is more efficient with his time, thus actually saving you money. He was knowledgable, professional and realistic from the beginning. He kept me in the loop throughout the entire process, and I always felt I was in good hands. My case ended up going to trial after failing to agree during court ordered mediation. I was nervous, but Kelly was a bulldog in the court room and fought SMART for my case. I ended up getting more time then what I would have agreed to in mediation.
