I called this laywer from out of town because it was the first name that popped up when I googled the information I was looking for. I was charged with something in my early 20s and at the time was not fully aware of what I was being charged with. I pled guilty so I knew I couldn't do anything to change the charge. I had one simple question... What did my charge mean? I am now applying for the nursing boards and they want an explaination of criminal history and I had no idea what to tell them because I do not know myself. As soon as he found out it was something I was already charged for and that he wasn't going to make any money off of me his attitude completey changed. He wouldn't even let me fully ask my question before he cut me off and said (and I'm paraphrasing) I am not an employment lawyer I can't answer that question. We went on for a couple seconds with me trying to ask my question when finally I said thank you anyway and hung up the phone. He called me back seconds later for reasons I don't uderstand because he made it clear he had no intention on answering my question. We then went around in circles where this time I got to ask if charges mean different things to different people and he said yes. I then asked so if a person commits a crime, assault for example, assualt doesn't mean assault? My charge is my charge. I just wanted to know what it meant. The charge was OWI eluding. What does that mean? I still don't know. Was i charged with OWI and running from the cops because that did not happen. Was I trying to elude (possibly by lying) an OWI? I wasn't even the driver. I simply wanted to know what my legal charge meant. Not for an employer. For me. I'm sure if he represents you he will make an excellent laywer especially based on the reviews,just make sure you have money to pay. In fact I was hoping he may be able to help me remove it from my record in which I would have paid. My fault for not knowing my rights but shame on him for brushing me off like that.
