During my divorce, Clark was pretty good but not great. He was never communicative, and my ex-wife and I agreed to make things easy on each other, so how much credit I should give Clark is debatable. My concerns with him were when my ex would take a concern to her lawyer, Clark would treat it as gospel. When I took concerns to Clark, he dismissed them and the information never was relayed to my ex or her counsel.
A couple of years after the divorce was settled, we received a letter stating we owed some tax on unreported income from the time we were married. Over the course of 5 months, I probably emailed Clark a dozen times and emailed him even more than that. I never spoke to him on the phone. He responded to two of the emails. I left countless messages with his office staff, always with the promise that Clark would call me back. He never did . After 5 months of no real communication or help, and more letters from the state and more accrued interest, and finally a threat of being sent to collections, I gave up and just paid the entire balance and all late interest myself. My ex got off without paying any of it. Safe to say if I ever need a lawyer in the future, I will seek out someone who will actually communicate and help!

Clark is amazing. He answered the phone himself and gave me hope that my situation could be resolved. He made it clear that there were no guarantees but he took the time to explain what the laws are and he immediately had some ideas on how to help. He is very busy and sometimes he takes a while to return calls but when he does, he is fully invested in your situation. I never felt rushed on the phone with him and he took the time to patiently answer all my questions. If you aren’t sure who to trust, call Clark. He’s a lawyer who will listens and cares about getting you the best resolution he can.

I was sued in small claims and he said that there was an 80 percent chance he could get it dropped. Gave him the retainer and can’t get ahold of him for two weeks. Then the day of court he shows up in a suit that barely fits and it’s joke. Did nothing for me and did not send me an itemized list of hours spent as promised.
Better off just representing yourself.

CONS: After 18 months of ignored phone calls, emails, and letters, the estate was closed (should take 6) and I was sent my disbursement of the estate. The check bounced. A month later and this still hasn't been resolved. Rather than helping me through a tough time after the death of my mother, Clark has instead piled on the frustration and grief. Beware.
