Spoke with Zach today. I was looking for an elder attorney for my mother because she would like to sell her home and move in with my brother. I tried to schedule a free consultation as advertised on their website, but Zach informed me that the free consultation does not cover questions regarding Medicaid and Estate Planning. What does the free consultation cover then? Obviously, I will be looking for another attorney who will give me a free consultation to answer my questions and also be able to assist us with the sale of my mother's home and all other estate and medicaid issues in the future.

I have worked with O'Flaherty Law several times now first for a dispute and then for help with incorporation and each time they have provided me with a valuable information on how things can be resolved and an estimate of costs on different approaches. Its very nice to have a legal team that will review all the avenues and the pros and cons of each and tell you when drafting a letter yourself may be more cost effective - even if it does not mean they are making money.

I moved to Chicago about 10 years ago from farm town Iowa where I am used to true kindness and desire to help your neighbor...I have had a lot of trouble since moving here finding those kinds of people but Kevin and his staff accomplished giving me that feeling. I have dealt with him on several occasions and know that he has my best interests in mind - I would not give it a second thought to ring Kevin if I ever needed some help.

My wife and I truly value our relationship with O'Flaherty Law. Working with O"Flaherty has always been a very favorable experience. They may not have always told us exactly what we wanted to hear, but they have always told us what we needed to hear and that information has served us well. The legal advice and representation they have provided is always accurate, pro-active and results oriented. We thank them very much for helping us with property issues out of state & country and highly recommend O'Flaherty Law for anyone looking for specialized legal representation. We needed a financial and medical power of attorney for my mother in law. We used O'Flaherty Law to draft the documents and facilitate her signing them and making them official. They did an excellent job preparing them, and even my mother in law made note of how courteous and professional they were when she went to sign them. And their cost was reasonable as well.
In addition, I referred them to a client of my own that needed help with the recently approved Able Act. This act allows people with special needs children to put money aside for their long term benefit that won't disrupt any state approved support they may be receiving. Since it is relatively new there is limited information on it, but the lawyers at O'Flaherty did their research on the act itself and what it covers and doesn't cover. They helped my client determine if they needed any additional documentation to support their child upon their passing. It was determined that it would still be beneficial to have a special needs trust for their child once they are no longer around for his care. My client was appreciative of their help and relieved to know how to properly protect their child for the long term.
