This dude loses cases and then takes his client's to court and sues them because that don't want too pay what he thinks he's worth lol you ain't worth that much. $300.00 per phone calls, per document review and per e-mail !! Lol yeah right

Very unprofessional, more concerned with being an alderman than doing his job as a lawyer. Took my money, did absolutely nothing, not even forward emails from the opposing council and then quit when called out on it. How Carlo Colosimo has managed to not be dis barred is beyond me. Do yourself and your bank account a favor a find an actual lawyer.

TERRIBLE!! If I could leave no stars I would. Do not waste your time with Carlo. He will never communicate with you. Literally months would go by. I'd call, I'd email and nothing. Then all of the sudden if something was urgent on his end I would get a call. Don't worry, he will be quick to cash your retainer check though. Soon as my divorce was final I had to hire another attorney to fix the mess he created by not doing his job.

Carlo Colosimo was appointed as guardian ad litem to my spouse's adolescent daughter. He determined that reunification therapy was necessary to help rebuild their relationship in an acrimonious custody case. A great idea, except that he designated as reunification therapist an unqualified LCSW with no prior experience in reunification, with no plan to move forward, no idea how to evaluate a difficult situation, AND with documented hostility to the role of fathers in their daughters' lives. Reunification with this counselor was doomed from the start.

Names of 3 other qualified experienced reunification therapy professionals were submitted for his consideration. All of them were willing and interested in doing the hard work of reunification. But Carlo Colosimo made the choice that posed the least amount of trouble to himself. He already knew of the LCSW and did not want to bother himself with evaluating the other counselors.

In summarizing his role in this case to authorities, he made factual errors about the number of attorneys involved and who they were representing. One plaintiff and one respondent each with a single attorney at a time is not that hard to keep track of. He put forward exaggerations, untrue assertions, and unfounded innuendo. This characterizes his whole approach: he is careless with facts. He also does not like to be challenged. The "guardian ad litem" web page on his site instructs visitors on how to treat him with respect, but respect in his world is a one-way street. He treated my spouse with high-handed condescension and dismissiveness. He never took my spouse seriously in his role as a father and did not adequately evaluate his importance in his daughter's life.

Mr. Colosimo has the kind of professional self regard that shows he does not believe he can be fooled. He does not delve beyond his first impressions even in complex situations like this custody case. As a result, he was easily manipulated by the daughter's mother.

Reunification therapy with his designated therapist is impossible, and Mr. Colosimo does not understand and cannot admit his central role in this failure. Because of the complaint against him, he has removed himself from further involvement in the case. The damage he has done lingers. If only he had been removed 2 years ago, a proper course of reunification could have helped my spouse rebuild the relationship with the daughter he loves and raised for 12 and a half years. Now precious time has slipped away. Carlo Colosimo failed to uphold his duty to act in the best interest of this vulnerable young girl.

Mr. Colosimo has behaved disgracefully as guardian ad litem. Though GALs are appointed rather than hired, I'd advise anyone to steer clear of him in any capacity.

I've used Carlo for several personal & family related manners in my life. He's proven to be very trustworthy & I recommend him firmly.

If you are father fighting for visitation or reunification therapy ,think twice before hire this attorney.
Mr. Colosimo was in my case for over two years and he did nothing to help me to see my daughter or even to have a chance to exchange test messages with her. Also he decided about reunification therapy with psychotherapist who is not qualified in this supervision and does not have any experience with reunification.
I would like to say that even I am gay father still I did nothing wrong what could keep me legally away from daughter who I was taking care of permanently with her mother for over 12 years.
