Our experience with Gary was amazing. More than the process, we enjoyed the closing. We believe that any other attorney could have done the paperwork for us. But what made Gary different was his attitude and his cordial, jovial nature. We were very nervous initially but he made the whole closing so smooth and easy. Gary and his team were nothing short of amazing! As a first time homebuyer I was new to the whole process but Gary was always there to help. He is so easy to work with and worked so well with my hectic schedule. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

What a difficult task to choose the real estate attorney! But what if you are a mortgage broker and work with many of them for years? Now the reader of this review definitely wants to know why I did choose Gary Mages, Attorney at Law of Mages and Price LLC. Simple answer...I asked for a short meeting with a cup of coffee and during our talk, I realized that the first priority for Gary was to help his client. It was obvious!

When I got signed contract and sent it to Gary, I was pleasantly surprised how quickly he replied. Furthermore, reading the contract he found a detail written in a tiny font which would cost me a lot of money at closing and corrected it. But the most amazing thing which would have destroyed the closing was that he found an error on the document connected to the title of the property and it was corrected by the issuer.

So, during quite a stressful process of any real estate deal, it is so important to have a knowledgeable and kind person by your side from the beginning to the end (closing) who is driven to look after your interest in a transaction! And Gary Mages is that person!

We met Gary Mages at a Chicago Real Estate investors meeting. His services were straight forward and exactly what we were looking for to help us in our wholesaling business, so we decided to use him for closings.

About a month later (or too late I should say) we contacted Gary and met his Legal Assistant, Sara. Our funding process was dragging on to the point of utter frustration and we needed advice and help with the seller. Sara swooped in like the Legal SWAT team. Not only did she help us hold off the seller from making rash decisions, but was part of the tag team between the loan Officer and my husband and I to help us get a response for necessary aspects of the loan process that we otherwise wouldn't have received. Her contacts for every part of the process were priceless all the way up to the day before when we needed to send a wire transfer to the title company and needed to confirm that the details were legit.

At first, we had no idea that they could help us at every step of the process. Now that we know, we wish we had used them from the start. We would never have experienced all the stress we went through.

All in all from start to finish, it took 9 months to close this deal. I have no doubt that had we discussed it with Sara and Gary before we made a move, it would have been much smoother and shorter.

If you have any real estate deals, call them FIRST. Sara is prompt, thorough, completely knowledgeable, brutally honest and most important of all, extremely professional. Gary came through at the closing the same way Sara brought us to the closing - calmly and professionally. The lender gave us problems right up to the last minute but Gary made it happen even when it looked like it wouldn't. Cant think them enough. 10 stars!!
