In 2018, this office refused to investigate the crime of perjury. These words mean nothing: "I hereby state, under Penalties Provided by the Code of Civil Procedure (735 ILCS 5/1-109), the foregoing to be true and correct to the best of my knowledge." The statement is for ornamental purposes only on court documents. Violations are considered breaches of etiquette. This precedent was set when the Senate failed to convict President Clinton of it in 1998. Our Government is not for the people, people. But remember, we support our troops who fight for these values, like I did (Desert Storm 1991, Iraq 2003).

Allowed Garrett Mercado to be charged with misdemeanors instead of felonies. Allowed trained animal caretakers to abuse and mistreat dogs. Hiding actions of shelters who knew he was abusing. Shame on you Bob Berlin. #softoncrime

Dupage county has prevailed in the investigation of animal abuses crimes against Garrett Mercado of D&D kennels. This took time, effort and outstanding leadership. Bravo

Sentencing someone to 22 years in prison for stealing a TV remote regardless of their past crimes says a lot about your morality.
