Really dissatisfied just felt like a atm for them got charge for every email , text , phone call even there parking for court on top of a $600 fee just to withdraw from my case because there billing department made the call . There billing department really unprofessional there billing makes no sense they can’t explain the charges . They did nothing for me and cost me over $3,000 if not close just to move courts and make motions am still at the same place I start

Stay clear he has numerous violations in Dupage county court and a big DUI I don’t know how anyone can trust this guy. Over charged repeatedly. He sues most of his clients that’s how he makes money. He is the bottom of the barrel. He just recently got divorced himself so it’s going to be interesting when I talk to his wife about what she thinks. How can a person who is an officer of the court have so many speeding tickets and Driving under the influence. I would loose my job if I got a DUI how can he still practice law?? I’m telling you to stay away from this clown

Went to them to modify my divorce paperwork. They did everything they said they would do, the case went in my favor and Melissa Fish did a great job.

They charge high fees for basic paperwork and offer no relief. Emails and phone calls, yes each call and each email has a high fee and took about 10 minutes of their time. It was like I was making a car payment every week! I ended up spending a small fortune for attorney fees like others. I did not receive a single payment in child support until a year later after hiring my attorney. My ex, whom is not even my husband ended up paying about 10% of this earnings and nothing extra. I ended up giving up and letting him make all the decisions because the case was dragging on so long that I couldn't afford to keep it going without any child support coming in. For a working mother caring for her 8 year old son all these years with no support it seems unfair that this process is as lengthy as it is. If I could go back I would NEVER have hired this firm. Perhaps if the charges were high and I had a more satisfying outcome I could understand. It will take me 4 years to recover these fees to payoff the lawyer. The goal was to start child support and have relief. Instead I have spent thousands and still owe thousands. No relief and the child support amount, process (never even made it to court) ,charges (emails, drafts, etc) are ridiculous fees. Again, for a working mother looking for relief on child support this is not the firm for you. They over-charge, and are unprofessional for the supposed support they should offer at a high rate. No relief.

Mark was knowledgeable and efficient in regards to my needs. He was easy to communicate with and worked within my schedule and timing to resolve my legal issues quickly and at an affordable cost. I will use his services again if I am in need in the future.

Wakenight &Associates gave excellent advise and worked super hard to get my case done. The billing part of it I had no complaints. If you want something done correct you have to pay for it and most people just don't get that concept. I would pay all over for them to do what they did for me and my children. Thanks Wakenight!

I contacted Mr. Wakenight to help me with my divorce. Things went really smooth and he was very fair with the overall cost. He was very available and his office was great at taking care of the administrative tasks. And he was a pretty nice guy too. I would recommend.

Worst lawyer service available. Has them for 1 court case and then ended up firing them. It was just continuance after continuance. Wasted money and time. And dont be suprised if at the end they say you owe them.

If I can give no stars I would Worse attorney ever..fees are ridiculous for what they do. No relief ended up stressing more out with their "help" ended up getting another lawyers help which actually ended up solving my case.

Horrible...they said i hired a bulldog who would fight for me,then they fired her and replaced her with a timid kitten newbie.....retainer was eaten up fast...and after paying all the BIG bills they kept sending me i could only pay a couple hundred a month...they said no.....they dropped me...and i lost everyrhing in my divorce........i would stay way clear of wakenite....unless ur looking to get robbed

RUN!! incompetence my lawyer was Rita and I paid $20,000 on this case and got nothing. she gave me a sales pitch at the beginning that I was entitled to all this stuff. Then once money came she changed her story and started working for the ex it seemed. I came out and said who are you working for here when we were at court. The ex cheated and abused me and all i got was the automatic 20% on child support - I have 2 special needs kids and this lawyer could not get anything i needed - all she could do was send me a bill for emails. she even made a change behind my back in the papers after i left court to get my ex to pay court costs to her instead of to me. NOW - 3 1/2 years later i am getting an abusive collection notice from Wakenight. I paid $20,000 myself and she still billed him for another $5,000. I met with the lawyer ONE TIME the day of court. i have had litigation with the ex since then at a 1/4 of the bill and favorable outcome - however i can never go back to the divorce decree and get what i lost then. so it matters who you choose - Run away fast! Not dedicated to anything besides taking your money. Spent a lot of money and about 22 months with no progress in a divorce. Best off looking for a different law firm.

I went to them for help with getting ex husband to assist with college cost. The Atty. seemed very caring and knowledgeable on what needed to take place. Man before I knew it fees had eaten up my retainer and costs for my case was through the roof! The case drug out forever sending the fees up more! In the end..my ex was SUPPOSE TO pay for ALL my sons college cost but today he's only paying part of it because he even knows it drained me with this firm so I can't afford to go back to court to fight with him because I'm left with a BIG BILL for hiring this firm. Run!!! Don't pick this firm!!!!! YOU WILL BE SORRY!

I turned to this office for help in a family issue. I was impressed by their high level of service, professionalism in giving me the right advice and most importantly their honesty and truthfulness; that's something I couldn't find elsewhere.
I have seen other attorneys elsewhere not being honest, trying to cheat me out of my money by giving me the wrong advice.
Attorney Vimal, was very responsive, intelligent and guided me through the hard time in a very professional way.
I highly recommend this law firm to anyone having a family issue in the state of Illinois, they are the best!.

In response to the review from kimc of oak park: Although Attorney Weging is no longer an employee of The Divorce and Family Law Offices of Wakenight & Associates, P.C. a review of the billing records, emails, computer records, word documents and the hard file shows what legal work was performed for kimc. Wakenight & Associates, P.C. was retained in 2010 because the customer was not receiving court ordered child support from the father. Attorney Weging met with the customer to gather the facts and determine the goals and objectives in the case. The customer did not have a necessary Court Order so Attorney Weging had to secure a copy from the Court file at the Daley Center. There was also some necessary minor legal research completed. Attorney Weging then drafted three legal documents: 1) a Motion to Increase Child Support because the father was making more money, 2) a Petition for Rule to Show Cause asking that the father be held in contempt for willful non-compliance with the order of court that he pay child support and 3) a Motion to Establish a Trust to hold funds the father has now for the payment of child support later, if the father ever again failed to pay child support.
In the Petition for Rule to Show Cause certain facts were alleged to make it clear that the father is clearly in contempt because this increases our chances of getting the Court to order that the father must pay our Attorney’s fees. These allegations were basically a) father was ordered to pay child support, b) father did not pay child support, c) father was asked to follow the Order and pay child support and d) father still didn’t pay child support. After the customer read the pleading she admitted that she had never even asked the father for the child support money when he owed. Attorney Weging then advised the customer to ask the father for the money and if he pays we could still proceed with the Motion to Increase and the Motion for a Trust. The customer then asked the father for the child support and he paid. In response to the payment the customer, approximately five weeks after she hired us, sent Attorney Weging an email instructing her to stop work on the file. In the email she said “… I know I may regret this move …”. At the customer’s request her file was then closed. She was granted certain credits that she asked for and she was sent the final bill which she paid in full. The total fees paid in the case were less than $2,350. Some months later, when the father had again failed to pay child support, the customer contacted Attorney Weging, admitted that she had no money and asked for additional representation which we could not, of course, provide for free and the review of kimc of oak park followed … Mark Wakenight
