I went to Court this Monday for driving over 100mph in a 55. To top it off I own a Class A CDL, thought that my driving career was over and that i would probably lose my license. When i got referred to Chicago Trusted Attorneys, had my first phone call with Paul Burnson which was my attorney. He right away made me feel like he was taking caring of things immediately. Man these guys were fantastic! I was hit with a 90 suspended for not paying a ticket on time. I went to the court and paid the ticket but was told the suspension was still going to stand. I had called 2 other firms and they flat out told me I was screwed for the next 90 days and nothing could be done

David Smith was a waist of money to us. I'm sorry if this affects your lovely reviews, but hey this is our personal experience and opinion. First of all the amount of money that we payed was high although money is not my concern. I hated the fact that David was pressuring his client to take the time (offer) they were offering his client which let me tell you.. is not something anybody would want to serve. Second, he told him he was not willing to take his case to trail because he was worried about his reputation as a lawyer and was not willing to take a loss in this case. What lawyer would say this... He numerously asked his client, if we take it to trial what would be our defense, umm.. aren't you hired to help your client look upon the weaknesses of the case and try to beat it? Lastly, he decided if we wanted to take it to trial he would charge more money, which by the way the price was overpriced. Our thing was, why would we pay him more money if all he is worried is about his reputation and losing a case. For the best outcome, we let him go so he can keep his reputation outstanding and us in the other hand will be looking for a lawyer who is not afraid to take a challenge and who will never be this hopeless. Either way thanks David Smith for all you did.

My daughter, who lives in Virginia (New Yorker - here), gets into a serious problem in Chicago. With no family or friends to help us, I started looking for a lawyer to handle the case.  David was the first attorney I spoke with but like any consumer, I contacted a few others and based on their feedback settled on him.  In the initial conversation, David took his time to explain the "Chicago" legal process in a way that it eased my anxiety.  No father wants to hear that their daughter may do a lot of jail time.
 
  In any case, once I signed the contract, David got to work quickly.  After two court appearances, the State dropped the charges until further notice.  They were not prepared to proceed in a timely manner.  Great, my daughter gets to walk out of county jail were she spent almost thirty days but she has no one to take her in.  The county jail personnel released my daughter at 10 pm without her property which contained her id and money.  She was stranded in a strange place in the middle of the night and here is where David showed his true character.

  A father himself, he looked after my daughter as if it was his.  He picked her up and booked a hotel room for an overnight stay.  The next day, his assistant Natalie, drove my daughter around Chicago to recover her property and then dropped her off at the Greyhound bus station.  Anyone else would've said, "I only get paid to represent her in court." But David, he was out at 12 a.m. making sure my daughter was safe and sound.  This review may seem longer than your usual type but words cannot describe how grateful I feel.
