Out of 5 court dates he only showed up for 2 and had someone fill in for him last minute on one of them. Basically paid him a $1000 for nothing. He didnt file any paperwork on time and even the judge mentioned his incompetence at my sentencing. I was charged with a d.u.i. and would not recommend this man.

Do not recommend. Paid for a simple expungement over a year ago for $500 and Attorney Mergl still has not submitted it. When asked for a refund, he refused to give me all of my money back. I have filed a complaint with the Pennsylvania disciplinary court who has looked into the problem and there is still no record of Attorney Mergl submitting my request even after he supposedly submitted it three times.
