Rented a shop space from him in his building. Paid the rent early or on time every month, yet he surprised me with an eviction when he rented it out from under me. I found another place and moved my whole business in 7 weeks. He threatened to park a dumpster against my door since he had ordered me out in 5 weeks, and it took me 7. He sued me because of this and lost in arbitration and then again in court. The Court ordered him to return my security deposit, and he has not. It's been a long time, but he is ignoring the court order. Losing twice and ignoring the court order. That is this lawyer.

In 2008 he (the son) handled my divorce (although I should have fired him). When I had a question on what was happening and why things were happening like they were, he began yelling at me to the point I began to cry. He then said if I was going to act like this, maybe he should drop me. I was speechless and as tried to calm down, my friend tried talking to him while I calmed down. I kept him as my Atty, as I had paid the retainer and was afraid he wouldn’t give any money back. In the end, he did not deal with addressing child support by my kids father, he did have written in I would go back to my maiden name but did not make sure what name I would go back to (which I found out after was needed for ID purposes) and I never received accounting of his time vs what I paid. He became very uncaring. Additionally, he ran late for nearly all court appts we had. I had written a long detailed complaint to the Bar Assoc, but I never sent it. I regret it often.

He's a crooked lawyer. He will take your money and do nothing.

Do not hire this firm! Fred Meagher is a fraud and all in all a horrible person. I went through him for a divorce, I gave a deposit and listened while he bold faced lied to my face. When I tried to find out what was going on with my case he would never return my calls, his para-legals and receptionists are rude, at best. He will tell you he can move mountains, then it is like pulling teeth to get him to talk to you when he has your money. I was told I was too demanding a client for him, while another one of his clients was sitting there listening. I had a court appearance in January, he failed to mention to me that he would be on "vacation" until the day of the hearing. The replacement lawyer said he read my case the night before and knew more about it than Fred did! Do not hire him, there are other ways to waste your money! During this argument he said I was no longer a client and he would write up a bill and receive a refund. A BILL? He wrote a few emails to another attorney, he never met with me and basically ignored every request and question I asked.
