I used them for a real estate transaction and they were always diligent & responsive when I had questions throughout the process and, so far, no issues from the work they've performed! The attorney I used was Ken Tomko and he was thorough and very helpful.

Worst experience I've had with a law firm. Our lawyer was Joel Patch and he was very hard to get a hold of from the beginning and lacked communication - he only responded to 2 of my phone calls and then told me email was better, so I obliged. Even so, he was very poor in communication with me, my realtor, and our Lender. Everyone I spoke with complained about their interactions with him and how hard he was to work with. When we did speak, he was very short, condescending and dismissive. At the actual closing, he acted like he had somewhere better to be, and was aggravated by some delays caused by the bank that he made everyone in the room feel uncomfortable about. Instead, he should have had the decency to offer us some coffee or water while we waited.

As soon as the checks arrived, he distributed them to everyone and left. Completely unpleasant for what I thought should have been a great day of closing on our new house.

Our lender, Chase bank has a $1000 closing guarantee. They reached out to Joel on May 31st to introduce themselves and request a certificate of occupancy from his office. It wasn't until June 12th that he got back to them, thereby putting our closing date (June 17th) at risk. When we did miss it, the bank responded with the following as to the reason why my husband and I could not get the $1000 reward: "delay from the attorney’s caused the turn time to be longer to close, which is a 3rd party vendor delay & was not caused by Chase" Therefore the loan did not qualify for the reward.

I can't speak for the other lawyers in the firm, but if you get Joel Patch assigned to your case, ask for someone else. It'll be a much better experience and it won't cost you an extra $1000!
