I threw my money down the drain.I had to go from Wappingers Falls to White Plains to court and then I'm waiting for him and he never showed up, then I call his office and they say that I didn't need to show up. They never bothered to call me before I went to court!! I through away $8000. I'm retired now, but I used to be a vice-president of interiors for a major international construction company. RIP OFF!!! Met with Steven once - if you think you will see him again after the initial consultation and he takes your retainer check forget it! Not only will you never see him again but you will never speak to him again either. I was due a retainer refund check which they could have written that same week. When a week had gone by and I hadn't heard anything from them I called to follow up. Trisha stated NYS Law says they have 30 days to refund the money and the check would be ready on September 20th. The full 30 days later. When asked why she stated "Because they could." They took 28 out of the 30 days to issue the refund. This was absurd. I buy 4 to 5 houses a year and would NEVER consider using this attorney. Also, don't send him an email either - he will charge you for it!!! IF YOU NEEDED THE MONEY THAT BAD I WOULD HAVE LENT IT TO YOU !!!

If you are going through a divorce and care about yourself and your kids, DO NOT use Steven H. Klein. Unfortunately, it was too late for me and my children and I will have to spend more time and money fixing all the damage that he and his law firm did. After being in an abusive relationship, I met with Steve and he put on a great show about him being able to handle the situation at hand. After all, he had experience with these cases. After receiving payment after payment over the years, there was never any actions that matched that initial conversation. Emails went unanswered, concerns were not taken seriously, and he actually made comments to me that it was my fault that the proceedings were taking so long. He allowed the courts and my ex to continually abuse me and my children through the system and provided no guidance in the case. I begged to go to a trial, yet there was no follow through. It came down to the judge saying settle on one court appearance to settle or the trial will be that exact day, with no prep. How did he even allow this to happen?? While we were the plaintiff, he let the defendant's lawyer take the lead on everything and simply sat back doing nothing, even after I kept voicing that there would be issues with this. There were many billing errors that never got corrected, and the kicker piece was the the final documents were mailed to my ex-husband. This is not a professional law firm that will have you or your children as their best interest.

I looked up Steven H Klein and Associates through the internet read the reviews, sent an email at 7am and Mr. Klein called me before 8am. He made an appointment for that day.
Mr. Klein and I spoke, he is very down to earth, straight to the point . I was all over the place explaining, talking and trying to keep control of myself.
Steve recognized the stress kept me focused ,explained what we needed to do step by step. He explained if I need more time to think things over or wanted to interview other lawyers before taking the next step , I was free to do so. His confidence and calmness impressed me. I hired his firm as there was no need for me to look any further.

By the end of the conversation she looked at me and said something I’ll never forget. I needed that wake up call and boost of confidence. Ms. Sanchez is an excellent assist to this firm. She’s kind , straight to the point and kept me focused to the task at hand.
The last court appearance Cindy and Went to , it was all over , everything was was settled. I was very pleased with the outcome and all of the hard work she did .

They are both kind, understanding and listened to my nervous chatter with caring ears.The front line of any outstanding business is the first point of contact. My review may sound long but believe me it’s not easy going through a late in life divorce. You need Mr. Klein’s firm on your side .
