Marc Miller was a pleasure to work with through two closings. His paralegal Autumn is top notch and he is a smart , well-rounded and caring person as well.

I bought my first home when I was single (don't lie, Marc - you DID represent me)... I hired this lazy egotistical attorney, Marc Miller to be my attorney. The crooked seller did the final walk-through with me before closing. My buyer's agent/realtor with Blue Moon Realty (in High Falls, NY) should've been there, but she chickened out because it was raining. She made sure to show up at the closing later that morning to get paid, that's for sure. During the walk-through, the seller quickly turned on and off the thermostat; just long enough for me to hear the heat kick on. Then she turned the thermostat back off quickly, saying something about conserving fuel. Convinced that there were no problems, I went to the closing. Afterwards- I returned to my new house, and turned on the thermostat. Huge plumes of black smoke and carbon monoxide came out of the vents. The heat exchanger had broken. I had to suddenly had to come up with $6,500 for a new furnace - after spending nearly everything that I had to buy the house. I called my real estate attorney, Marc Miller. Marc blew me off and wouldn't return calls or emails for two weeks. I finally called again and got him on the phone. He told me that because I didn't "catch" the furnace problem at the home inspection, or during the final walk-through, that it was basically "my red wagon", as he put it. The seller had fraudulently covered up the problem, and my home inspection had been done two weeks prior, when there wasn't a problem (yet) with the furnace. Marc Miller is full of it, he just didn't care because he got this money at the closing. There was plenty that he could've done to have my back. He quickly dismissed me. Well, Marc, you S.O.B. -this is what YOU get for allowing others to defraud me. If I were you, I wouldn't hire this loser.

We have used Miller Weiner & Assoc. 4 or 5 times for real estate transactions and the service is always spot on. Mr. Miller answers all our questions and gives solid advice. The staff is always responsive.

Lawyers suck

The two receptionists, Autumn and Kayla were very helpful, but that was the only positive in dealing with this real estate attorney's office. Marc is an extremely unproffesional bully who talks down to you, and yells at you on the phone when you ask quesions about anything pertaining to you buying a home. He was not timely in getting things done for my husband and I, and was quick to give run on excuses as to why things were taking such a long time. I was constantly having to call to ensure things were being done, and was never treated with respect. Marc's sarcasm is very unbecoming and not something one wants to deal with when the home buying process is stressful enough, aside from having an attorney who does everything to belittle you and speak to you as if you are not worthy of his time. Upon closing, he went over full payment that was due to his office, and made a point in showing us the lack of "extra time" charge, when it was the fault of his own office that ensured things took over two months. The title company this office uses always seemed to have someone being sick, in the hospital, out for the day, or there was only one person who could do anything to help. When it comes time to buy another or sell our home, we will absolutely be going with ANY OTHER real estate attorney in the area. Our realtor also advised us that another client of theirs was having the same issues with this attorney. If I could give this firm negative stars, I absolutely would. Please save yourself the stress, and pay the extra 200-400$ dollars to go with another firm.
