S.A. Platt is great - and both this court, which handles criminal matters and the adjacent 300 Grand Street civil court are very well-run, have very friendly staff- also the criminal court building is one of the most beautiful in the area. Thank you to S.A. Platt again and the A.S.A.s

Prosecutor Austin, and Judge Doyle handled my case. As I am the victim here my property was stolen. The criminal had nearly two years to pay back the restitution I was granted by the court. This criminal was in a SDP program as noted and did not complete the program. He also failed to pay the restitution each month. At the end of this two year process. I found out the criminal was given a nolle. The reason being "He had mental issues". This is disgusting and there is no justice. So a person can steal property, have "mental issues" according to whatever guidelines, and get excused for a crime they committed? Not even jail time but complete nolle? Also the guy tested positive for cocaine. What I'm getting at is this office is not enforcing the law as this criminal did not get punished fully to the law even though he did not comply. I as the victim had more losses in this matter. Thank you, prosecutor Austin, and Judge Doyle.
