Thank You Carter & Mario Disability Attorneys ️ ✌
Pros: Resources, knowledge of the legal system, and a "name" firm working for me. Every conversation was polite, non-judgmental, and informative. Spot-on legal advice. Bottom line: they got money from the "other guy's" insurance company to pay off my medical expenses and help ease the complete and utter hassle-laden painful stressed-out 20-month disruption of my life.
Cons: I would have liked more discussion-time with an attorney and thought they would have been able to better anticipate some of my concerns. At times, particularly in the beginning, I felt the case was passed around more than I was comfortable with. The financial result was relatively positive, (I'm not an expert. This was a first time experience with any legal matter whatsoever of this nature, so I don't know if the settlement amount was above or below what another firm may have been able to negotiate), but it made me uneasy during the long 20-month process. To be clear, there was always someone available to talk to, but it was not usually the attorney assigned to my case - a couple times even when we had scheduled the phone conversation in advance. In fact, I never saw the attorney in person - although our email and phone communication was not lacking in professionalism, expertise, or personal courtesies. Less client-juggling and some face-time with the assigned attorney - at least at the signing of the final settlement documents - would have brought this rating up to 4 stars. Additionally, while the staff called to check in regularly during my injury recovery process, once I was ready to negotiate the settlement with the insurance company it seemed like I had to stay on top of things and push the process along. I thought they could have been more aggressive. Lastly, I would have appreciated a detailed explanation at the beginning, and a reminder or two DURING, of which items/actions were considered "Case Expenses" on top of the "one-third-of-settlement" fee that I was already paying. I'm sure I missed it in the fine print when I signed the contract (possibly because I had suffered a head-on motor vehicle collision the day before) but I honestly thought I was going to pay 1/3 of the settlement amount, no more no less. I was surprised (but not terribly) at the very end to see a thousand dollars in copy, research, and administrative fees tacked on to my bill.
That said, very lovely people over there and they do good work. I hope if they read this review they can interpret this comment as the constructive criticism it is intended to be and use it to make improvements. Thank you to Jazmin, Danielle, and the CM team.
Atty Minnifield was also pleasant and very helpful. She kept me up to date on the proceedings of my case and never hesitated to answer any questions I had . I know she worked hard on this case and I am very thankful to have been able to have her representing me in this matter. I would definitely recommend Carter-Mario to anyone I know. It's been a pleasure working with them!!!
The Carter team had been Great! Thanks

I am legally blind, and with this disability it's hard to read some of the paperwork. I dealt mainly with the New Britain branch and everyone there made me feel like family. During my case if I had any questions, my two most faviorte people (with the exception of Carter Mario himself) Danielle and Mr Brown, would answer and explain everything to me. I have no knowledge of how a claim goes, and they walked me through the process with so much patience. Mr Michael Brown was my main go to guy, regardless of the time of day or by email or phone, he was there to hold my hand, talk me through the process and help me understand everything. He would talk to me with words I understood and was very compassionate about getting me what I deserved. When my case was getting ready to close, Danielle did not hesitate to get the most, even when they gave her a ridiculously low settlement offer. She was not deterred by the insurance company and was able to get the max. I went to the Milford branch to get my check and I was able to talk to the man on TV and we took a picture together. Regardless of the branch the receptionist, lawyers, paralegals, everyone there was amazing with me and I would use them again and recommend them for anyone that needs someone on their side after an accident.
