I highly recommend Atty Ed McCormick. At the office consultation he listened to everything I had to say, and answered all of my questions, and gave me legal advice. He is going with me to Probate Court soon for "Legal Guardianship" of my daughter. She turned 18yrs old and has Autism, is Non-Verbral with Special Needs. Atty McCormick also went to court to handle my case about "Child Support/Visitation" issues. He won the case for me. He has also informed me that under a new law that passed my daughter is entitled to receive Adult Support from the non-custodial parent now, and also at the age of 21 plus years. I am so grateful to Atty Ed McCormick for everything he has done to help me and my daughter. I definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a smart and dependable lawyer.

Reason for hire: Divorce and custody. I was advised to not file for sole custody since RI family law "frowns upon it" and now, four yrs later, I need to return to court for custody. That should say enough.
I have used the law offices from a job problem to a divorce. I can count on Mr. McCormick for a quick response he is professional and courteous.

Went to Ed cause he was a longtime friend of a my cousin. He doesn't fight for you he just sits back and goes for the ride. He lets the other lawyer dictate what we were supposed to do. I sat in a hallway and got third party information the whole time we went to court. I never ever heard of a divorce where you have to sit in a hallway and accept my fate from false accusations. If your case does not have a child involved he is the guy for you but, if there is a child and your looking for counsel to call you and let you know what's going on each step of the way look elsewhere. Never returns phone calls for weeks at a time then it's to late. Definitely a waste of time. Would not recommend him.
