I left another attorney after many mistakes were made with my case and I felt hopeless. After being referred to the office of David Borts from a friend, I called and made an appointment. The paralegal Simi went above and beyond from beginning to end, she is amazing. David was able to help with the 601 waiver after I felt hopeless. They were so efficient with getting back to my many questions and also on working on my case. Finally thanks to David Borts my waiver was approved and they helped every step of the way and today I am reunited with my loved one and it’s all thanks to this office. Every morning I wake up and am able to be with my husband after being separated for years and have this office to thank! They were nothing but helpful and knowledgeable and most important compassionate. I would recommend them 100%!

Working with this team during your immigration process will provide you not just with the knowledge to navigate the process correctly but also with the comfort that a skilled team is advising you. I haven't even committed to using this office their services, and already I feel a weight of burden being lifted. I called exacerbated after receiving a denial letter from USCIS. A polite young man answered the phone and intensely listen my story. He placed me on a brief hold and the next thing I know I am talking to David. Extremely knowledgeable and willing to assist my fiance and me with our situation. I was defeated when I dialed their number, but by the end of the conversation I felt rejuvenated to take on the next steps to have my family together. I look forward to working with this office.

Dave as he is often called, is an attorney's Attorney with passion to do all he can do within legal frameworks for his clients. He has mastered the nuances of US immigration systems. He puts people before money. He does not take case because he wants to make money. His paralegal, Dave ,is even better than some immigration lawyers because he knows this business inside out. He is just not a lawyer on paper. If you are looking for peace of mind and not those who will sugarcoat the case for your wallet. Give them a call. This chamber will not lie to you. They will not give you false hope but if they take your case and you know how to pray, your heaven will open. This chamber is loaded with legal minds that is nulli secundus in the ocean State of RI. If the two Daves and Simi are behind you, there is a rainbow out there. This review is based on personal experience from a hopeless situation. I was rejected by many lawyers before Dave took me in. I did not have the money but Dave puts me on payment plan. If I am passionate in this review, readers should know the reason by now. I can go on but i hope this resonates. I rarely do one. You may think your case is hopeless like mine, but you have nothing to lose by giving them a call.

There are 3 people that usually reply on the phone, they all seem very helpful and respectful, at least at the beginning. It was not difficult to set up an appointment and up to that point everything went smoothly. David Bort, even though he was more than half an hour delayed to our meeting, was very pleasant to speak to. He made us a recommendation regarding a Transition to Green card. He seemed very knowledgeable and looked like he had our back regarding this transition. A fee was charged under the assumption that once we start the application, this fee would be discounted towards the payment of the whole service. Which made sense, at the time we were sincerely grateful for his time spent with us. He seemed reassuring. We waited six weeks until we got the answer from US embassy that A waiver will be required. I called the office to give him the update since in our meeting with David we had discussed that if that was the scenario, it would take longer to process the application. I was expecting something like, “alright, glad to hear you and sorry to know that things are not as simple as we thought, we will start X process and help you.” THAT WAS NOT WHAT I HEARD. The male assistant just told me, “we do not do that process. We can’t help you. We would not be competent since we do not know how to do it.” My chest felt tight. I kindly asked if there is any referral lawyer they know who can help me, and the guy said “look in google, we don’t know.” I felt hopeless, they were supposed to have my back or so I thought. That guy yelled at me at least 30 times “we do not do waivers”. I told him “you were not in the meeting and that was not the impression that we were given during the consultation. Also, I don’t like the tone you are speaking to me”. He said that he truly did not have time for this and wished me a “good day”. I AM AN IMMIGRANT and it was the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I FELT SO HOPELESS for being one. The attitude and tone of his assistant was not professional in my opinion. No empathy whatsoever. I just happened to be a Harvard scientist trying to build a life and safe other lives in the way (children btw). I am blessed to be smart enough to read a lot and probably figure things out on my own and hope for the best since I am not well-versed in laws. But if you asked me my experience with this firm, it was not pleasant overall.
