He is very condescending and arrogant. You don't have to take my word for it, just call him. We needed to feel lifted, instead, he made us feel like we got kicked in the stomach.

Fred worked with my husband and I on a recent adoption. The process was not easy on us but Fred was very knowledgeable on what it would take to get the job done. He was there to explain to me every step of the way what to expect next! He answered all my questions kept in constant contact with us! I am very pleased and in the end the adoption hearing went perfectly! Would highly recommend him, and his staff are very wonderful to work with!

I absolutely agree with Andrea Gudger's review. Fred was extremely condescending, rude and went out of his way to try to make me feel worthless. He called me in the evening, as I was driving home from work, and then had the nerve to say he was "missing his dinner" because he was talking to me when it was HE who called me and we had spoke for less than 5 minutes when he said that. If he needed to eat so badly 5 minutes after he called me, he obviously shouldn't have called me at a bad time for him, acting as though I was putting him out. He also kept interrupting me and had the nerve to say I was interrupting him. I have since been told by several others that Fred is known for his terrible "bed side manner" and treats his clients terrible. He is the one losing out, as he will lose a huge amount of money by not gaining my business. I'm sure he's lost a lot of other clients when he could have benefited financially as a result. I then called another attorney the very next morning, who was kind and willing to take my case, so I called Fred and told him I would not be going with him as an attorney. He also kept interrupting as I was talking and said additional rude comments. He is an extremely mean, arrogant person.

Fred was our family lawyer for our adoption and he knew exactly how to get everything done fast and made it easy! He has a great ethic, wonderful communication, I highly recommend him for a family lawyer.

Never in my life have I met such a rude and condescending man. From witness of his derogatory treatment of clients, coupled with my own experiences, I would suggest forgoing this attorney. Competent enough, but very difficult to deal with interpersonally. Very toxic and will do everything he can to assert his dominance over you and make you feel less than and like you shouldn’t even speak. Don’t believe me? Give him a call.

I would strongly recommend Fred. He is professional, honest, and fair. I appreciated how upfront he was with me rather than wasting my time and money with sugar coating. Never use Frederick Belzer! The court asigned him as out mediator and he did an absolutely horrible job. The papers where horribly written, and did not spellout multiple clauses and contingencies. I had to higher an new lawyer and fight to undue all the damage and issues he caused. As the other posts states he is arrogant and condescending, even worse he is incompetent. He will not fix issues just cause more!

Fred has been my husband's lawyer for a little over one year. He is very through, very clever and very knowledgeable. Every time we have called him he has answered or contacted us within the same day. He has explained things about family court that we didn't understand before, and he went to bat for my husband at his custody trial. He is very professional and I would recommend him to anyone in Bannock County.

I would not recommend Frederick Belzer to anybody. I only experienced one phone conversation with him, and that was enough to convince me not to work with him. He was very condescending and rude to me.It bothered me that he felt like he needed to lecture me over the phone for over five minutes that I was asking too many questions. Why he couldn't have said a simple and polite goodbye I will never understand. Also he said he was going to charge me $100 for a consultation (which I was fine with), but became very ambiguous on what would happen if we went over. I didn't like that he wasn't straightforward with his price or what to expect in his office.

I wanted to say more, but decided to end it. Like I said I don't want to sound like I'm ranting or venting (even though I want to). Just wanted to highlight my main issues with him and leave it as it is.

Fred Belzer has been our family's long time lawyer. He has helped us on our wills and other estate planning needs. He has advised us on appropriate guardianship issues with respect to our children before they came of age. He has advised us on out-of-state inheritance (laws).
