Worst bankruptcy attorney EVER!!! Lied to me and my husband about paper work being done and then waited over a month to hear from him to when he said that he didn't even start our paperwork because he didnt have time. Then finally I went into the office and asked where our paperwork was and his secretary was on her phone playing a game and informed me he wasnt there and in court to my surprise he walked into the front office and handed her a pen, asked him what was going on with our paperwork and walked into his office and his desk was a complete disaster and he said that he still had not had a chance to start our paperwork. I told him that I would be reporting him to Upright law about his lying and also unprofessional attitude towards clients. Terrible attorney!!!! And I then requested for all of our paperwork that we had given him back. Lets see if we ever get it back who knows?! If I could give 5 negative stars I would!

I have used the services of Don Gottschalk many times from the 70's thru the late 80's or early 90's until I move to AZ. Since being back in Iowa (2014) we had Don do the work for us when we bought our home here. He is a great guy, father & husband as well as an attorney.

This is the worst bankruptcy attorney. Mr Don Gottschalk took 10 months to file a bankruptcy. He didn't return calls to me. He told me he was too busy to work on my file or call me back. I gave him all my bills and amended my boy to add others and after it was done I still got all and letters about the bulls e missed. I asked for copies of my paperwork and he never responded. I went to the BBB and HE DIDN'T even bother to respond. The absolute worst attorney. If I could give this a negative star I would. Do not go to him.

Payed to file in November. Still waiting in May. Call weekly and get the answering machine most times. Been told at least 3 times paper work would be finalized by end of week only to be strung along again for another week. Nice guy just might be taking on too much.
