Richard Rice won my case. Mr. Rice represented me in a labor issue. As a state employee, it is daunting to take on the Department of Administration. Our case went all the way to the WERC (WI Employee Relations Commission). We won our case and the state had to pay my legal fees and my discipline was reversed and removed from my personnel file. Very quick to reply to my queries, and he listened to what I had to say. I don't care much for attorneys in general, but Richard is a winner.

Amazing Experience. A Law Firm that lives its values and cares about their clients. Terrified and teary eyed, I stumbled blindly into Attorney Rices’ law firm after long having been on the receiving end of abuse at the hands of my former employer. I had written down Fox & Fox almost a year prior as a former co worker had mentioned his law firm’s name and good reputation. I stashed the number away never thinking I would need to use it. The thought of attorneys in general just hit a sour note with me. I just pictured ambulance chasers, the “one free consultation meeting” fees for every little thing. Let me tell you my fears were allayed. I was greeted warmly by the woman at the front desk and Attorney Rice came right out of his office to meet with me not knowing who I was and having no stake in my claim despite clearly seeing I was in distress. You have been warned to not use Mr. Richard Ross. Very rude and condescending individual. I contacted the Fox and Fox office involving a US Department of Labor investigation that need to be followed up on after employer refused to pay back wages as directed by the federal government. Mr. Ross informed me that an investigation could not have been done by the US Department Labor with out a written complaint, which is a complete contradiction of the information I received for the head of the Wage and Hours division of the US Dept. of Labor this morning.

Mr. Ross informed me that it is my responsibility to get that complaint on my own. There was no written complaint made by me, the complaint was taken by phone, which was explained to Mr. Ross, who then explained that it was not possible. He doesn't know his information, and refuses to take action like an attorney should. If you're looking for an attorney who takes action, don't go with Mr. Richard Ross. He'll expect you to do all the leg work which is close to impossible when working with an agency like the US Dept of Labor, and then expect still get paid.

I have talked with people at the Cross Law Firm that were willing to take action of retrieving the information needed for court from the US Dept of Labor after our initial consultation. It would be my suggestion to contact the Cross Law Firm with all of you employment law needs.
