We worked with John Horn on our estate plan several years ago, and realty issues in the interim. John completely de-stressed the estate plan process for us, being thoroughly patient and informative in our discussions (and we came to the process really naive). When our financial situation changed significantly shorty after completing our estate plan and we thought we might need further services for modifications, John did not particularly encourage it. We truly got the sense that his first concern was what we needed and not racking up billable hours. More recently, we were involved in a realty transaction which required standard legal documentation, and we secured John's help. When the other party demanded frivolous changes ("frivolous" as assessed by multiple parties involved) and created extra work, John indulged them to his own detriment (i.e., with no additional charges to us), and made sure that our transaction was successful. We would not hesitate to recommend the services of Horn & Johnsen SC.
