I have a question that you might address on a future podcast: If a person is planning on breaking into a house or attacking someone, are they not implicitly accepting the risk of possibly being harmed by retaliation from the victim, and shouldn't that place some blame on them if they wind up getting hurt. Why should the innocent person be expected to look out for the welfare of the bad guy? When under a state of extreme fear or an adrenaline rush, how can the good guy be expected think through what might be a reflexive reaction? I recently heard a noise in my house at night, and I experienced an extreme feeling of fear that I had never experienced before. It was as if I could be facing imminent death, even though I didn't know what had caused the noise. Fortunately there was no danger.
I also question why we have to see a weapon. I heard of an instance in which a homeless person approaching a pedestrian for money pulled out a concealed knife and stabbed the pedestrian. Why should we assume that a threatening person doesn't have a weapon just because we can't see it. I'm not suggesting that we should shoot homeless people approaching us, but we should be able to say " stay away from me" or "don't come near me or I will assume you mean to cause me harm" as a sufficient warning.
Thanks Tom and USCCA.
Thanks
Arrogance and condescension is so prevalent among attorneys, from my experience, that it was a real pleasure to learn from an attorney that spoke to us as one of us. I highly respect that.
I am looking forward to seeing and hearing more from you through USCCA webinars, and any other form that presents itself.
Respectfully,
Ed
Thank you Tom and USCCA for continuing to provide such well suited content.
thank you Tom
It is apparent in his conversations and presentations that he is truly knowledgeable about the vastness of this topic.
Great Job!!

I am a retired police officer. I am glad to listen to the information because even retired law enforcement officers need to review the laws and how they can be applied in a deadly force incident. Please continue this type of training.
Tom is very easy to understand when it comes to explaining the law.
Keep it up Tom, thank you for taking the time to do these live q&a’s for us!
