Initially, I was very impressed with this lawyer, until the day of my family court case. We met at his office, and I was put in a conference room with his new grad personal injury lawyer to discuss finances before my case. I had never met or talked to her before. I might have got a check in call from her several months before, but I don’t remember, and didn’t know who she was.
Then, as we are about to leave for the court house, I ask if she’s the one coming with me, because that’s what her demeanor was telling me. She said yes.
I was shocked, and there was no time to discuss it as court was starting in 10 min.
As we sat, she talked about how she hated family law with someone she knew there, and how Ohiku just had her practicing family law to widen her knowledge....on MY, and MY CHILD’s BEHALF.
During the case, I constantly corrected what she said to the commissioner.
I REPRESENTED MYSELF!!! This is not what you hire a lawyer for!!! It caused damage to my case, that is still going on, because I had to file a de novo case to try and repair what happened.
He blew off my case, thinking nothing would happen! Then, when I asked to not be charged for her time, I got no response, just a bill.

He is such a caring, determined Attorney for my son's case. I appreciate him to the fullest. He was open and honest with me and my son regarding his case. He is the best!!! Case DISMISSED <3

My husband hired Attorney Odalo to represent him for a alleged resisting arrest case. Once our retainer fee was paid, we were on our own. Our calls wouldn't be returned for a week and we were rarely updated with information on the case unless we called and waited the entire week to be called back. Odalo appointed a representative by the name of Asia Patterson to my husbands case who was also rarely available. When we would inquire about my husbands case, she would look on CCAP to provide new information. My husband who in his mid thirties and has never had a criminal record was sentenced to 60 days in jail under their representation. In my opinion, if your goal is to avoid jail time, DON'T HIRE THIS ATTORNEY!!!!

I spent alot of time 6/29 talking to Odalo and my family case and how my son was lawfully taking from me and I hired him to be my Attorney! I can't wait for my son.

Attorney Ohiku represented me in Municipal Court about a year ago. I had never been in court before and so i was very nervous. He explained the entire process to me step by step, was always on time for court and prepared, and he made me feel like I mattered and my case was important to him.
