If I could give 0 stars, I would. They treat you like less than a person just because you owe a debt. Trying to work out a payment plan is like pulling teeth. What kind of joke are these people? First of all, they said I sent a cease and desist, which I didn't. They have me fax something saying they can talk to me. Then when I call back, I have to verify all kinds of info. They DO NOT send out a receipt of any kind or confirmation paid in full. I was told my receipt of my certified funds are my confirmation. These people are shady and I do not know how they can sleep at night!
Terrible people. Not willing to listen, they threaten and attempt to scare people. Do your homework first before agreeing to anything. Consumers have rights against being intimidated by collectors. Keep track of mail, phone calls, intimidation attempts and do your research. Take a breath after talking to this so called law firm and let your dial tone take the abuse.

Well I don't know who you are and I don't want to send my personal information in and email if its not secure. Told me that he didn't give me his email which he did over the phone and that I got it off the website. Well the website doesn't list his email so how else would I have gotten it. I have tried to setup a couple payment plans with them and they refuse to do so. Dennis tries to find an excuse for everything you say to not help you out. He told me one thing and then turns around and tells me something completely different. They have the worst customer service!!!

They lack basic human decency, much less any kind of empathy or compassion. They sent one letter demanding payment in full for something from 2 years ago I had forgotten about. They treated me terribly. They wouldn’t even consider a payment plan and they filed for a judgment immediately. Once they had the judgment they again refused payment unless it was in full, now including court fees. Next thing I know my employer tells me they are garnishing my wages. So I paid this law firm in full. That was December 3rd. 2 weeks and they haven’t even mailed the satisfaction yet. Horrible way to do business. DO BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. They cold called me & told me that before they could tell me why they were calling, they needed me to give them the last 4 of my social and my date of birth. Uhhh....no. I explained to the rep that I don't just give that information out that he would need to explain why he was calling & his response was "I can't tell you unless you verify who you are." to which I responded, "well, you called me, soooo....sorry, I'm not giving you that info." The rep was then very rude & said "i guess i can't do anything for you then." After researching them, I found they do debt collection, mostly for children's hospitals. I don't have any debt & all of my children are very healthy. Seriously...how can you possibly cold call someone & expect them to give you your SS# & date of birth over the phone without telling them anything - that's ridiculous.

In February 2018 Bruck law offices took me to court for a $124 medical bill which was from 2006. They have added $800 in attorneys fees to this bill. When I asked for an itemized bill in court in front of judge Pocan they refused to provide it. Previously, at the initial court hearing in January 2018 (in front of a court commisioner) they also refused to provide itemized charges. I don't have the court commissioner's name in front of me. The court commissioner was biased and told me that Bruck did not have to give me an itemized bill. I know that it is illegal to not show what fees are being added to the medical bill. The court commissioner also told me that I was in contempt of court and I was going to be thrown in jail. Like really?? You think I believe that?? To make a long story short the interaction with the commisioner was very racially discriminatory. My employer informed me that Bruck has initiated a garnishment for over $900. I know it is illegal to attach excessive attorneys fees. I am in the process of finding out what my legal options are to have the court review the excessive fees. It appears that the court commissioner from Milwaukee County circuit court is getting a financial kick back from Bruck law offices. The commisioner was biased and cut me off whenever I tried to speak or ask questions. I also believe that the statue of limitations has run out on collecting money from a bill that is 12 years old. However, I am willing to pay a fair amount because I owe the initial $124. Please don't ever refer anyone to this law firm. All attorneys are not crooks. However Bruck law offices gets the Crook of the Year award. Unfortunately there is not a -0 negative 0 rating available.

If you go to them they will put all kinds of orders on any person you want for no reason at all that happened to me. Me and my family are not allowed to see my mother at her apartment because of extremly small disputes in the family which no one has complained about. The only one who has a problem with us is the manager of the apartment building who would not even have know anything had happend at all if no police were called. The police reported it to the manager. It was so small no neighbors heard it. The only reason the police were called was because my mother called them she quickly regreted it and says her self it is no big deal. She never wanted anything to happen to us. She just got tired of us going back and forth with no violence. She has no problem with us but now she has a proplem with the management in the building and so do we. We called the law firm they wouldnt even talk to us. No understanding of why any action was taken. The new manager at the building is trouble and this law firm is too. It is a conplete outrage. Maybe if this was a customer service position you would feel better about yourselves. However debt collection is not customer service, you are not a client, you owe someone money and that is the bottom line.
Also there is no rule where you are entitled to a payment plan after waiting for years to contact your creditors. If you don't want to be sued you might want to do as the firm is requesting and do everything possible to obtain the money in the fastest time frame possible.
Another thing to keep in mind is everyone has extra bills that they don't expect to have happen but if you cant get them straightened out in a couple years time that is on you for not making it a priority. How many of you have gone and spent extra money on a "want" and not a "need" where that money could have gone to resolving past debt issues?
If everyone paid their bills on time there would be no debt collectors or lawsuits or garnishments. If you don't want to get called or sued get on a payment plan before it's too late. The ball is in your court. The Firm is just doing what they are hired for. And many of you are repeaters and you know the score and how it works and yet you still try to play the "I didn't know it was out there" card.

Being a collection firm, they're in a difficult situation for feedback/reviews. Some debt is created by deception or an angry former spouse trying to cause trouble to the other former spouse & these people wind up in the middle attempting to collect on this debt for an unsuspecting or innocent third party used as a tool of extortion or a financial weapon to hurt the other party. I found this firms people (Joe) understood the situation, were honorable & kept their/his word in pre-hearing discussions. In battle, if your opponent is honorable, even a loss is respected.

This Law Office (I use the term loosely) is by far the most difficult office to deal with. The 'gentlemen' ( I have several other names that cannot be posted) who was calling me gave me 2 options: pay in full or pay in 3 payments. OK, I cannot afford to pay the ridiculous $ amount they are DEMANDING as I would not be able to keep paying other medical bills as well. I was diagnosed with breast cancer the end of 2012. Have had close to 2 dozen surgeries from that time through this last one on 05/04. They do not care if you will lose your residence, car, they do not care if their outrageous demands will live you with no food. They are considered bottom feeders. I will close with; karma is like a rubber band. Sure you can stretch it but when you least expect it, the rubber band will snap you right in the face. Karma will get each one of the low lives who are degrading, verbally abusing, and taunting those of us who, like myself may be in the position due to a major medical condition. I only wish I could be present when it happens. . . . 'KARMA'

I know better-these people are unbelievably rude, and not helpful. I was told a disabled person doesn't count when it comes to "poverty" guidelines, (I know better) and that the only way to "resolve" this was to give them the entire amount. I was completely disgusted by the attitude and customer service I received. I had a medical bill from my daughters emergency surgery from childrens 2 years ago. I am a single mother and I struggle to pay my bills. I am already working with 2 other law offices with similar arrangements for medical bills.
I called them because I have biweekly payment arrangements. I missed my first payment by one business day and wanted to find out how I can make it online. He got really nasty and condescending saying I had 2 weeks to send in a money order and he didn't want to hear excuses. First of all I don't feel comfortable sending a money order in the mail without knowing when or if they will get. Second I am not going to go to downtown milwaukee every 2 weeks to pay it in person. The only other option is online with a steep service charge and it takes 5 business days. If you want my money, offer automatic payment or something more convenient. I told him I get paid every 2 weeks and my first paycheck since we set up this arrangement was the day it was due. How was I supposed to get a money order in that fast? He told me that unless I came down to the office this would be my one and only time I could be late. He said I dont care what your excuse is, you could be in the hospital, if you miss it by even one day we will sue you. I told him he doesn't have to be so rude since they obviously know they will get their money one way or another..his response was, you're absolutely right about that. His tone and attitude is completely unnecessary. I was about to be in tears. I was making a conscious effort to make my payment. His response was, you have known about this for 2 years and chose to ignore it, its not up to you decide how this is going to happen. I have worked with other debt law offices and have been treated with respect. They are reasonably understandable of my situation and as long as you don't continue to BS them, there is no reason they can't work with you to get your debt paid
A LITTLE WORD OF ADVICE TO THE LAWYERS AT BRUCK LAW OFFICE: While I understand you will get your money one way or another in most cases. You should be more professional and show a little respect. You never know what someones situation was. You deal with mostly medical bills (not a 5000 credit card I maxed out) and many times medical bills aren't expected. Show a little more empathy and you might get people who are more willing to work with you.

This company is only out to get their money. No professional attitudes, even when spoke to politely and professionally, which is a HUGE problem for someone looking to settle a debt. Not only did they sue me, they yelled at me for not knowing about it for 8 years. They had a fake name and address attached to the debt but only went after my wages. When I called the office for the Children's Hospital claims, the informant was VERY rude and rejected all of my attempts to send the notice to the actual person whom the debt SHOULD have gone to. They responded with a very vague and condescending attitude that they didn't care WHO the debt belonged to at this point, that I was being sued and there was nothing I could do about it.
The next day I cut a check to settle and I called the offices to ask if they could notify me if/when they receive the payment and once again, the informant was unbelievably rude and informed me that they wouldn't receive it personally, but it would go to a book keeper who would process the payment and (i assume) everything would be square. I asked again if I could be sent SOME KIND of notification as to when the payment was received, i.e. a phone call or a letter (which they are SO ADAMANT at sending) and the informant once again rudely snipped out a "That's not in our job description". So you can HAUNT me for 8 years but you can't send out a letter saying the case was closed? This place is very backwards and I wish to never deal with them again.
BRUCK LAW OFFICES AND ITS AFFILIATES ARE BEYOND PROFESSIONALISM IN THE SENSE OF THEY DO THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF WHAT A BUSINESS SHOULD BE DOING.
If I could report them to BBB I would, but they would probably try to sue me again for hurting their feelings.

I understand no one likes to get called by a collection agency or a law outfit, but when I tried talking to these people to come up with a payment plan (I spoke with two different individuals) they were absolutely horrible. They are unprofessional and not courteous, because they don’t have to be, not with the people that owe money to their clients, anyway. They are hired thugs who have no intention of working out the debt. If you can’t pay in full, then they send you a summons to appear in court.
I called them immediately after receiving a letter they sent in February of 2015, and when I told them this was the first letter we ever received about this debt, which was for a debt for services provided in July of 2012, they called me a liar. After being offended twice, I got very aggravated and expressed my opinion of them behaving very unprofessional, and they told me they didn’t want to speak to me any further.
When I tried to explain my situation to them, they told me that me and my husband must have communication issues and that it has no bearing on the debt matter. When I told them that my husband and I do not have any communication issues, but that we are having financial issues, they said again that we must have communication issues. When I asked them what can we do to work out a payment plan, they basically gave us 30 days to pay the debt in full, which was not an option for us. We received a court summons right after the 30 days passed. My husband had to take off work to appear in court, for which he lost a day’s pay, which didn’t help with our financial situation. When we talked to the judge, rather than putting a judgment against us, he asked us if we could pay off the debt over time, and we told him that is what we tried to work out with Bruck Law Offices, but they wouldn’t agree to it, which is why they took us to court. So now, we are stuck with having to pay not only the debt, but also all of the court costs!!! Bruck Law Offices is bad news, and I feel sorry for anyone that has to deal with them.

i recieved a call from bruck law offices informing me i had unpaid debt to froedert hospital from when my son was born 4 and a half years ago. Its a story you've heard before, insurance didn't cover every thing it was supposed to so almost a year after the birth of my son, (and a change in insurance carriers) i was informed i owed lots of money to the hospital for what the insurance company didn't cover. it was already to late to submit this extra to my wifes unpaid insurance medical fund earned at the school she worked for, and also to late to resubmit to my previous insurance carrier. I was also hit with massive flooding from storm sewer backups 1month after my son was born, and again the next year. i was hit with roughly 60,000.00 in damages (not covered by insurance), and i am a poor. I was contacted by ************** collection agency about this debt 2 years ago. I paid roughly 3000.00 to them for froedert and the childerns hospital of wisconsin for the birth of my son. Now Bruck law offices is trying to get me to pay 1300.00 of that debt again. The employee that contacted me only yelled at me, threatened me, and refused to give me the time to do my own research to get the paperwork to show that ive already paid this debt. After 3 attempts by me to try to get them to back off and give me more than 2 weeks to get this paperwork together, i finally just left a message stating that i was refusing to talk to anyone but the attorney and that i would not be yelled at, talked over, and threatened by a paralegal anymore. Today i received a summons for small claims court for the amount owed plus legal fees and such. Interestingly enough, today i was also finally able to get confirmation from the old collection agency that i am showing as paid in full to them for both froedert and childrens hospital. I've never been sued before but i can't see a judge ordering me to pay them twice. This law firm is a joke!! if you've been contacted by them, they want to sue you!! They don't want to give you anytime for anything, they want to take you to court and charge you legal fees. Funniest part of it all is they can't even keep track of their own paperwork!! from 2008-2010 their office manager embezzled over $75,000.00 according to js online. When you look this company up, its nothing but complaints and really looks like a scam, and in my case it is, but from what i can gather they are legit, their claims may not be, but they are lawyers and they seem to be happy to sue. Not so -- just got yelled at and had to repeatedly ask to speak to the actual attorney, who wasn't too impressive either in the manners department. Too bad in this economy when people are struggling to pay their bills, you get this type of response when you try to work it out.
A LITTLE WORD OF ADVICE TO THE LAWYERS AT BRUCK LAW OFFICE:
While I understand you will get your money one way or another in most cases. You should be more professional and show a little respect. You never know what someones situation was. You deal with mostly medical bills (not a 5000 credit card I maxed out) and many times medical bills aren't expected. Show a little more empathy and you might get people who are more willing to work with you.
