Atty. Margaret O’Connor handled my divorce. She is knowledgeable and professional, yet down-to-earth and easy to talk to. She was patient and answered my questions even if I emailed her on the weekend. Going through a divorce was stressful but she was always very encouraging throughout the whole process. Thank you Margaret!

Seems every lawyer in the area knows she is incompetent. Do not hire this woman. Atty O'Connor is extremely unreliable. She has a great sales pitch but she may or may not follow through with your case, depending on how convenient it is for her. She also is not averse to siding with the other party. After a bad experience with her I interviewed three separate attorneys, all who have offices within 1 mile of hers, and all three of them chuckled and said she is known for bad respresentation. Two attorneys from Kenosha also confimed she is a terrible attorney. She will charge you for hours that she did not in fact work. Given her bad reputation, I'm surprised she still has her license to practice. I would also check to see if the good reviews are all legitimate. I find it a little suspicious they are all 5 stars. One specific critique is that she was very particular about saying she knew Atty Wishau, "he will be easy" was her remark. However, he walked all over her. She didn't even attempt to get a word in. Then she blamed me for the bad outcome. Further, she went to court knowing she did not have the information she needed to be prepared. She chose to not do any work, but yet managed to bill for hours she could not possibly have worked. She did not even request any information from the other attorney before the hearing. She showed up, didn't say a word, and then over billed me. She actually billed me for an hour telephone call during which we were in court!! This attorney is, in a word, unreliable.

Atty Margaret O’Connor handled my divorce, which took well over a year. There were many complicated placement, tax and financial issues that were thrown at her and she knew exactly what to do every step of the way. It was a huge relief to have her to navigate this difficult time with me. She is professional but down-to-earth and easy to talk to. I trust her implicitly and handed everything over to her without hesitation. She answered questions at all hours and always made herself available to me when crises arose. She has a comprehensive knowledge of the law and a great rapport with everyone we came in contact with; court commissioners, guardian ad litems, social workers and other attorneys. I would, without hesitation, recommend Margaret O’Connor for any family law needs.

We are foster parents to our nephews who, due to some very unfortunate circumstances and outright lies, were pulled from our care after 16 months. We went to Margaret and explained our situation. Even though it was different than what she normally handles agreed to join and help our fight. She was amazing. She is real, she’s honest and outspoken. Most importantly she believed in us and that what we were fighting for was right. Very professional but not your typical sleazy lawyer.
