Detailed Review: (brutally honest)
If you’re reading this review is probably too late to tell you not to sell drugs to an undercover officer but it’s not too late to make the right decision and hire Gary and his law firm to take on your case. I was arrested during Electric Forest 2019 for a drug offense that involved UC and a sting operation. Being from Out of state I was very concerned about the outcome of this case would be considering this wasn’t the first time I had been in trouble for similar offenses. (This Law firm was the second firm we talked to regarding our arrest.)
When I reached out to this firm via Their website, Gary Springstead quickly reached out to me and only after minutes of our phone conversation I already had a good feeling about him. Gary invited us to come to meet in person at his office (even on a Saturday) and he made My friend (Co-defendant) and I feel confident and comfortable with him handling the case while we returned to California, not to mention that he only charged me 1/3 what the other firms had quoted us for representation.
I started to get frustrated when trying to contact Gary to set up a time to go over important documents like police reports and PSI (Pre sentencing interview) reports to personal documents I had collected to support the case and for some reason always ended up being able to get through 1 business day before next court date. His assistant, Tammy, is very professional and friendly and does an amazing job communicating to make sure you have all the information and documents needed in a timely manner. At times it seemed My lawyer had not even looked at anything sent to him until day of court.
Going into court, I knew The judge wanted a strict 30 days jail time since I have multiple priors and that was the cap on my plea deal. My lawyer couldn’t talk him down at all, and even day of I was told by Gary I was lucky and getting off easy with a plea deal of 30 days max when considering the Michigan state sentencing point system, I realistically could have been sentenced to 11-23 months with a 7 year maximum sentence. In the hour before my sentencing is when Gary finally took a look at all the pages of Documents.
That was the winning combination, ALL my documents suporting my case and my lawyers good standing relationships with state officials. Gary was able to show the court that I’ve changed for the best since I voluntarily went to inpatient rehab, attended NA/AA since my arrest (7 months worth) and have current medical issues like a surgery coming up that has a lengthy recovery. Gary discussed this with the prosecutor and the judge and my case was resolved with only a large fine paid to the pure state of Michigan, NO JAIL, NO PROBATION! When it comes down to your options for Lawyers in this area, especially for Electric forest cases, Gary is your best bang for your buck. He knows all the officials and is highly respected in Oceana county court.
Legal Assistant. If anyone is ever needing legal help do not hesitate to call Michael Bartish, he will make sure your top priority and show you respect and understanding.
Edit: I forgot to add i was facing 3 bond violations after my charges (don't recommend to do so) but I was represented by Heath and went home with a warning.
They worked very hard to make sure that a 1st time offense was not punished so harshly. I recommend this firm and especially Heath very knowledgeable and was an overall pleasure to work with.
My experience and review of Heath M. Lynch and the office of Springstead Bartish & Borgula Law, PLLC. My inquiry was answered in the form of a same day call. A free thirty-minute conversation with attorney Heath M. Lynch (Which I am certain the conversation went well over the thirty minutes). During this conversation, a lot was covered in detail about my cases two retail fraud's in the third degree with the 63rd district court and what the end result would be. Mr. Lynch was very knowledgeable and provided as much information as possible and answered all of my questions with honesty. After I inquired about my cases I decided and was convinced from my conversation with Mr. Lynch that I would be moving forward with having Mr. Lynch represent me as my attorney. I was honest with Mr. Lynch and informed him that it would take me a while to gather my finances to bring him on as my attorney as my finances were already tied up with another attorney that I paid for in full and the attorney I had refused to provide a partial refund back in any way. Mr. Lynch was very patient and professional as he waited several weeks for me to gather my finances to acquire his services. Throughout these weeks Mr. lynch kept in communication via text from his personal cellular phone just to get the status of my situation financially. I did not feel pressed at all by Mr. Lynch as no pressure was applied for me to gather the finances. Mr. Lynch followed up with me for several weeks as I gathered the finances out of genuine concern, concern that we were falling short on time as my court date was not far away and Mr. Lynch wanted to be well prepared for the cases and wanted to make sure that he provided my cases the time and attention that was required for each case. I was at a loss for words that Mr. Lynch took the time to follow up with me over the several weeks that he did as I know from experience that there are not many if any attorneys that will do such a thing and for free at that. I
Six months later, my felony charge had been reduced to a misdemeanor and instead of facing years in prison I had a maximum possible sentence of 93 days. That alone would have been a huge victory, but Heath wasn't done just yet. As we entered the endgame stage of the case, Heath was able to wrangle a plea deal that not only would have been unthinkable at the onset of my case, but also protected me from the possibility of a civil lawsuit in the same matter. By the time we were finished, I walked away from the courtroom with a light probation sentence owing mostly to Heath's expertise and knowledge of the criminal justice system.
I can't imagine having to try to navigate the waters of the criminal justice system unaided by someone such as Heath; he was the Virgil to my Dante and helped me to escape the inferno of what could easily have been a life-ruining matter. Talk to him; retain him; for me it was the best decisions I could have made, right on the heels of some of the worst decisions of my life.
He worked with multiple juristictions and my employer to get the smallest sentencing possible and maintain my employment with my out of state employer.
I'd recommend him to everyone and choosing his staff was the best decision I made.
We made the decision to hire Mr. Lynch. The reviews here do not do justice to the level of “not messing around” that Heath and his partners are practicing. Every single step of the way, Heath not only displayed unmatched command of the facts and law involved, but also stood me back up placed me on my feet and helped me to understand that I was NOT condemned and that he would never allow us to go down without a fight. Heath commands the courtroom, exudes confidence (justly), demands fair treatment for his client, intimately gets to know the facts of your case, and as I’ve just witnessed, walks into court with both a hammer and a scalpel. We made the difficult decision to go to trial. We admittedly were worried about what we were getting for our pennies. I can tell you, from start to finish that this man is the man for the job if your life is on the line (as it usually Is when you need a lawyer). Jury deliberation took less than an hour, the decision was unanimous. Heath Lynch made sure our side was represented. I feel that he saved my life. Grace, prowess, grit, elegance, intelligence, force. Heath and his team were immaculately prepared for the biggest days of my life. I will never be able to thank them. Above all else, Heath showed critical emotional support to my family and myself when we all felt like falling down. The total package is here with Heath. I hope that our story inspires you to make the right choice with Heath Lynch.
The jury deliberated for a total of 41 minutes. 41 Minutes for the rest of my life... Well worth the cost of admission. You'll know what I mean when you meet Mr. Lynch. He will be ready. I can't imagine him letting you down. Thank you Heath
The people here are really nice and they sounded genuinely sympathetic to my situation. Honestly if I could afford them I would be a client. The office is clean and tidy as well.
Micheal Bartish and his team are awesome! I use them to get an early release from federal probation. It was amazing the dedication they had to get the job done correctly. I had an unbelievably great job offer. It was contingent on my release from probation. Every other law firm told me that it wasn’t going to happen. I was told it would take way past the deadline for me to accept the job offer. Mike filed the paperwork and it was denied due to misinformation.. It knocked the wind out of me but that’s when I experienced first hand what this law firm was all about. Mike and his team worked hard to show the prosecutor his error and get us back before the judge. By the end of the week the Judge signed my release and I have a new dream job. Thanks so much from the bottom of my heart. Happy Holidays Mike, Chastity and team.
I hired Heath Lynch after consulting with 4 other attorneys about my first DUI charge.
His expectations during our initial consultation proved true through out the duration of my case. He made no promises, but clearly stated the order of events that my case would take. We held 3-4 follow up meetings (he was graciously flexible when I was unable to meet in-person, we also opted for phone conferences).
He was willing to listen to any questions or suggestions I had about my case, and stood by his approaches with clear understanding of the law and the probable behaviors of the prosecuting attorney, but also suggested alternative notions and re-appeals, based on the unique variables of my case.
He was persistent (two weeks of phone tag) when contacting the witness on my police report.
Chastity and Mackenzie, the legal assistants at SBBL, were extremely thorough with explanation of what was needed from me through the duration of the case. They sent digital copies of any court paper work in a timely manner. They are efficient and thorough!
Thank you, Heath, Chastity, Mackenzie, and
Even for those who don’t speak a good English, for the language barrier we found a simple solution that brought good results in the end.
Highly recommended, five stars, and thank you, Heath!
My daughter and I met with Mr. Heath Lynch for a consultation, and we were so impressed with his confidence, professionalism, and genuine concern that we hired him immediately. Neither of us had any experience with criminal proceedings, so he guided us step by step through the process. He let me know from the start that while my daughter was his client and he had to respect her confidentiality, that he would keep me informed during the process, too. Mr. Lynch met with my daughter and called her several times to prepare her for her court dates and also assisted with her school sanctions. His office staff were very prompt about sending out reminders and documentation to us via email. The process took approximately three months from start to finish.
When we actually went to court, it was obvious that Mr. Lynch is a well respected counselor. We observed other attorneys at the courthouse, and we were very relieved to have Mr. Lynch assisting us. We knew we had made the right choice. There were many different outcomes that this case could have had, but we received the best possible outcome: a reduction to a civil infraction, a fine, and restitution. I know that without Mr. Lynch my daughter would have ended up with a misdemeanor charge that would have impacted her pursuit of a graduate degree and ultimately her career. Yes, this law firm is more expensive than the firm we were going to initially consult, but the quality of the representation and the outcome completely justified the cost. I highly recommend this firm, and Mr. Lynch in particular, to anyone who is facing a legal situation.
If you are reading this, its because you or a family member needs help. Stop your search right now and call! You won't regret the results. Thank you again Gary.... I owe you my life sir!
I had a DUI court case I was facing- I tried to reach out to him several times to review the case with him, prior to the hearings, he never returned my phone calls and was impossible to get ahold of!
He personally didn’t show up to my court case- was late - and had another attorney from the firm show up, incredibly flustered and not knowing anything about the court case. I had to fill him in on all the details. Not only did he know nothing about the case, but he got me mixed up with another client!!! Incredibly unprofessional! He also set me up for failure not preparing me a drivers license restoration case. I lost the case and my license was suspended because of his lack of preparing me. Unprofessional, and way overpaid! Don’t retain! Go elsewhere.
Gary and his legal team are incredible. Gary specifically was very involved and personal and really went to battle for me. I was facing very serious felony charges for assault and looking at a maximum of 15 years. He and his team fought hard on my behalf and managed to get both felony charges dismissed and a plea agreement of misdemeanor charges with a maximum of 30 days, of wich I was sentenced to 21 days to be served on weekends. I was not only able to avoid the two felonies, but I was able to keep my job and my life. I can't thank him and his team enough!
Gary! He's Da Man!
Gary gets my highest recommendation both as a world-class attorney and as a human being.
Thank you my friend.
My case wasn't an easy one for Gary. There was a lot of evidence stacked against me, including body cam videos through the entire DUI. While the Body Cam footage likely prevented a dismissal or a further reduction, Gary and his team scoured ALL the evidence in my case and went to work - ultimately delivering that reduced plea and lenient sentencing.
One thing that really stood out to me about Gary and his team (especially Katie) was the level of communication they give you. I never felt like they weren't working on my case and knew they were doing all they could to win. The communication was incredibly personable, straight-forward, and incredibly welcome when you are going through a tough time such as a OWI case. All calls, texts, and e-mails were responded to quickly. The communication was also very honest. He will present all the options he see's for your case with a full analysis of the them (benefits, risks, costs) and the likelihood of success. Be honest about your case, your budget and your goals, and Gary WILL deliver for you like he did for me.
When you hire Gary as your lawyer, you are hiring a fierce advocate for you in the courts. An advocate who takes the time to know you, communicate with you, and advise you through to the end. One with your best interest in mind and will work diligently to achieve the goal. One that is worth every penny and then some, but also one that won't take your arm and a leg in the process.
I am so incredibly thankful I found them online and made the call. I will never use another legal service for anything. They are stuck with me for life!!
