Seemed to me to be arrogant & not listen.
I hired for a civil lawsuit. After the initial consult I was uneasy; she talked over me the whole time & didn't seem to be hearing me, but stupidly, I went against my better judgement I slapped down my $1000 deposit and hired her anyways. My mistake. Where to start...

The 1st red flag & by far most problematic issue was that she seemed to have horrid listening skills & be inattentive to detail. I can't even tell you how many times over the course of 7 months that I had to repeat the same information only for her to act as though she was just hearing it for the 1st time. She seemed to be hard of hearing and simply didnt seem to hear me. While this was most definitely irritating, it ended up being far less than just a trivial annoyance. It led to both minor and major mistakes in the court filings and to her seemingly not explaining a thing that was happening- like, you know, you hire a lawyer to do. I felt like i was in the dark for much of the process- I had never been thru the legal system at all and also endedup showed up for 2 hearings that I was never notified of being resceduled .

Mistakes were made which came very close to making me lode by default and when I brought up my concerns, I was talked down to, interrupted and told I had every right to just fire her which led to me being flustered and dropping the issues. I had made no such insinuationinsinuation that i was unhappy at that time. I was simply trying to ensure my case was being handled appropriately. She was very difficult to work with and I settled because I was simply sick of dealing with her, the very traumatic case and was very uneasy about my representation. I do NOT recommend.

I contacted her for a fairly emergent case several years ago. It was regarding custody visitation for my daughter with my former husband being from out of state. She agreed to take the case even though she would have to work quickly. Being a single mom for 7 of 8 years with a problematic ex, I kept pristine notes over the years. I provided her with detailed books of dated notes. I paid a huge retainer...I think it was 4k. I had to dog her office to get things filed in time. The Night Before our court date, she called me around 9pm. She said that unless I paid her another $1500.00 by 11pm that evening, that she was not going to SHOW UP FOR COURT THE NEXT DAY. I was very young and desperate (there was a threat of serious danger to my daughter). Thank God I called my employer who agreed to give me an advance on my wages!! The next day in court she was unprepared and I had to keep writing her notes of what to say on paper during the hearing. At the last minute I asked the judge if I could speak and filled in the blanks the lawyer missed. Luckily, he was forced to take a drug test, failed, and my daughter was safe. I left that day a bit traumatized. If what she did to me wasn't illegal, it was seriously evil! Don't even cross her doorway.

I don't know why I waited so long to review this lady but I remember a time I paid for a 30-minute consultation but all I remember is she was so rude immediately assumed I was a Criminal I was I was there for legal advice on being in debt and possibly filing bankruptcy I was young it was it was probably 10-15 years ago but it just irks me that she treated me so terribly now for the people who are reading this know that nobody is perfect I can't imagine ever going to her for legal advice I paid for a service that was not fulfilled I didn't get any advice instead I got shamed and treated like a criminal even her secretary was rude i was there maybe 5 minutes wouldn't recommend going to her at all if I could give her no stars I would

Karen did an Amazing job helping us with a child custody case on short notice. She was prepared for court and professional. She gave good legal advice and Helped my boyfriend win half custody! I could not go in the court room, but I really appreciated that Karen took the time after the court hearing to explain what happened and gave my boyfriend advice on what he needed to work on to increase his chances of winning full custody. She's down to earth and real, she tells you how it is, and what you need to do to win!

Karen Constantine became unavailable to reach as soon as she had my money in her coffers. She did not prepare for the first hearing well, and made factually incorrect statements in her opening argument, then threatened to withdraw when I pointed out her error.
She failed to timely file a court motion, despite several reminders to do so. This error destroyed a year’s worth of hearings, costing over $13,000 in legal fees. The best work I can think of to describe her and her is slovenly. Learn from my mistake, do NOT retain this woman.
