Pros: Mr. Maesen is nice, personable easy to talk to as a lawyer, and doesn't come off judgemental. On Ryan maesen's personal website, mr.maesen has a link where you can see the outcomes of cases that he represented. The number of
reported trial " wins" he had as a defense criminal attorney was impressive; bc i was looking for an experienced trial attorney for my case, is what made me want to hire him as my defense criminal lawyer.
Cons: Before he would take me on as a client, I had to pay his full retainer amount up front ( which covered the costs if I were to take my case to trial). Secondly, I felt like ultimately he could of done more work for my case than what he did. After about a week of hiring him, i felt pushed to settle for a plea deal bc he had told me there wasn't enough time for him to prepare for a trial. In hindsight I felt he did good job selling himself as an attorney- which is why I hired him. However after I paid him , I felt he wanted to invest as little of his time as possible on my case and his work load to a minimal. With all that said I wouldn't hire him as your attorney if you are facing a misdemeanor and/ or felony criminal charges.

Mr. Maesen really helped me out of a jam. He is a very good attorney. Professional, knowledgeable, unapologetic are just a few words I would use to describe him.

After finding myself on the wrong end of an overzealous and sketchy police officer, the city attorney's office seemed to take great pleasure in giving me the full petty beurocratic treatment. Mr. Maesen stepped in and stopped the nonsense.

Suddenly "evidence" was missing or destroyed. The officer avoided testimony, knowing he could no longer make up his version of events.
