Lewis & Dickstein helped me with an out of state driver’s license restoration. I live in California and have been here for six years with no problem getting a driver’s license. I went to renew my license and was denied because of an old Michigan revocation because of two DUI’s in the mid 2000’s. Why California just found out is a mystery. I interviewed several lawyers in Michigan we were supposed to be the most experienced and best license restoration attorneys handling DAAD (or DLAD idk) cases and thought the lawyers at this firm were the most confident and knowledgeable. They represented me and I didn’t even have to come to the hearing. Everything they said would happen, did happen. Just like clockwork. Excellent job and I’m legal on the road again.

Loren got my operating while intoxicated charge reduced in Rochester with judge Nicholson. He was my second lawyer. The first couldn’t get a deal because there was a minor accident. Just before his final conference, my husband reached out to George M. Brown of Lewis & Dickstein looking for better representation. Loren Dickstein was my cousin’s attorney in St. Clare County. My cousin was charged with possession of child sexually abusive material and capturing an image of an unclothed person. Needless to say, the case was difficult and the prosecutor and probation were out to destroy my cousin and give him the maximum time in prison. Although the crime was very, very bad, my cousin is a good man with a terrible problem. He has been in intensive treatment with an expert and has a very good prognosis for not becoming involved in this type of activity again with continued therapy. I was given a fair sentence and I do not have to go to Oakland County Jail if I follow my probation order. When no one else could help me, Loren did.

Not very happy with my call to this firm. I called on a license restoration matter. I have an extremely unique license problem that many attorneys have never dealt with or heard of, so I was looking for a "team" because one attorney would probably not be enough. Phone call was maybe 1 minute, and I was pretty wrote off, but not before requesting $3500 "to start". I am not going to pay you money before I know that you can even help me, I never got the chance to explain my situation. It is possible that an attorney can not help me and that this matter is between me and the DAAD (which a few attorneys did tell me). However, the call never got that far. Once the complexities of my case came up we were done.

These are best lawyers in the area! I lost my license after three OWI’s and lost my last DAAD appeal in Livonia even though I’ve been in recovery for 3 years. My last attorney claimed to never lose and yet, he lost. These guys are the real deal and you can tell from the first meeting. They knew exactly what to do and how to do it so that winning was the only outcome left. And we won! I have to drive for work and now that I’m legal, the sky is the limit.

I retained George Brown with the hope that he could make a miracle happen. My past criminal record that included 12 felonies, 4 prison terms and 8 misdemeanors, doesn't play a good highlight reel. Negotiating for a plea agreement seemed like a fairy tale myth. But not only did he find a legal basis to negotiate a plea deal, he also found a hole in the prosecution's case that would have had a good chance of acquitting me at trial. He honored my wishes for pushing a negotiated Cobb's Agreement and against all odds pushed it across the finish line - PROBATION, NO JAIL!! I in all my 61 years of life have never witnessed an attorney aggressively handling my case, fighting for me, always being 10 steps ahead of the prosecution, caring about me and my future and effectively executing a well thought out defense plan to my benefit. What a GREAT ATTORNEY. He gave me my life back.

Excellent work on my case. I was accused of very serious charges but they were able to get the charges dropped before a warrant was put out for me. Higher fees then some other lawyers but the results were priceless and I think I probably would have had to go to court if I had hired a lesser law firm or lawyer. Through out the years, I have had my fair share of legal trouble, to say the least. When I was seeking an attorney to help me, I REALLY needed someone that would fight for me. I had a warrant for my arrest for basically the same charge I was already on probation for in 2 different city's, in the same county.. so this would make 3...(what the heck was I thinking?!)
