Last year, I was pulled over for a seatbelt stop, and ended up getting a DUI. I was ashamed and deeply regretful of my silly mistake and of course, everything was flipped upside down. I found Mr. Boria online, and he was highly recommended for his work - now I am at the end of my probation, where truly, I must say, from the bottom of my heart, IF YOU OR ANYONE YOU KNOW ENDS UP WITH A DUI IN MICHIGAN, HIRE AARON BORIA AS YOUR DEFENSE.

He has a wealth of experience and knowledge, and is respected extremely highly across counties in the metro area. What's more, is he really is an easy person to communicate with, and a highly effective teacher, evident when he prepped me for what to expect in the courtroom. Before we walked in front of the judge, he was patiently thorough and explained literally - word for word, what I would be asked and what my answers should be.

He even worked with with the prosecutor to have my charges reduced to OWI and I only ended up with six months of non-reporting probation, holiday testing and minimal costs out of my pocket that added up to only 4500 dollar all told.

HERE'S MY ORIGINAL 1 STAR REVIEW:
I read all of the positive reviews on here during my search for an attorney. They make him sound like a great guy and an effective lawyer, so I called Mr. Boria for a consultation. It was for a probation violation hearing. I am on probation from a LITTERING charge. The "victim" was lying and saying that I had broken the no contact order of my probation when I had really done no such thing. It would be the easiest case to prove as there was video evidence from the place where the "victim" claimed the incident occurred. Mr. Boria was nice on the phone and I was optimistic for our meeting. He did mention money right away, which I think is rude and unprofessional. It is something that should be discussed after going over the case in detail. Upon meeting him I could tell that he was very judgmental. Had an attitude with me from the start. Did not believe me that I was not the one at fault here and told me to "STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING, JUST STOP." When I tried to show him evidence that the "victim" is a liar and the malicious one he refused. He tried to get out of taking the case by saying he would be on vacation for the date. It was a month away at the time and lawyers can easily move dates. He claimed that he could not and that I could move it myself. I later found out after consulting other attorneys that it is very easy for them to move dates, especially that far in advance. He rushed me out of his office and said he would look into the case when he was in the 35th District court the next day. He told me to just talk to the public defender instead. Everyone knows they work for the court and only talk to you for like five minutes before going in and getting screwed by the judge. Then I think he realized how badly he treated me and sent a very nice email the next day (probably in hopes of not getting a bad review, didn't work). He said that he would be willing to answer questions and sent a list of attorneys that he recommended (I called a few and none called me back). He even said he thought it was "unfair" what was happening to me. BUT when we met he told me to just ignore everything and he was very hostile towards me. Even though he sent this email, he still would not move the date or take on the case, even though it would be an easy win for him. He says he only takes on cases he knows he can win. It's obvious that he has connections with the 35th district court (not in the good way). He is all over everything there, he posts reviews of them, posts pictures for them, kisses their asses in the extreme. Seems like he is trying to secure the prosecutor position through flattery and brown nosing. I think he got upset because I said the judge was mean to me, so right away he thought he was going to lose because the judge didn't like me. But most judges don't like anyone. They're always mean no matter what and try to make an example of everyone and make as much money for the court as possible. Ended up hiring Jonathan Jones in Royal Oak. Paid half of what Boria wanted and he ended up being aggressive, effective, and got the result we wanted. When I met with him he treated me with compassion and respect. He believed what I told him and took the time to look at the evidence and make copies. He wasn't afraid to argue with the judge and stand up for his client. He destroyed the so called "victim" on the witness stand and made her show her true colors as a liar and the real malicious one. Will be continuing to hire Mr. Jones for all our legal needs. He's the real deal and doesn't charge an arm and a leg like Mr. "Superman" here.

Boria Law actually helped me out with a issue with my leasing company. They tried to say I damaged some counter tops (that were really old and falling apart when I moved in) so they tried to keep my security deposit.
