This is for Mr. Brittani, and anyone else wronged by this crook. I am also an RN and this attorney along with other crooked attorneys and a crooked judge attempted to take me for everything I had, up to and including attempted extortion, falsifying and illegal court orders, perjury, and a number of other misdemeanor and felony charges. The corruption at the 7th Circuit Court is so aggregious it is ridiculous and you are right, the children are the ones who suffer. The Attorney Greivance Committee lied when they said your's was the only complaint. I also filed a complaint with the Judicial Tenure Committee and several other organizations even up to the FBI, because in essence they were also guilty of committing treason. These organizations and their representatives are mostly crooked cowards that are letting these criminals run afoul of the law. All of my accusations were supported by documentation of THEIR words and deeds, and their still holding on to my money refusing to give it back. (By the way, he wasn't my attorney, but my ex-husbands.) I got a better outcome by representing myself and being led by Jesus. I don't worry about none of them now. Neither am I bitter or angry anymore because I know that they are being reserved for eternal damnation. And he is a sad attorney with nothing but a lot of lip service. Had I been an attorney myself I would have won my case and mopped the floor with him. They didn't want me to prevail because it would have made them look bad and they can't commit extortion and embezzlement and other treasonous crimes if more people represented themselves. In other words, it is bad for business. The Lord used me to expose those idiots for who they really are. They are evil and everyone who is even aware of what is going on and chooses to do nothing is also being reserved for eternal damnation. Believe me God will not be mocked for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. Beware, there are several crooked attorneys working with this judge he's only being allowed to continue because his brother sits on the court of appeals. But if any of them had any since they would not fear man who after he kills your body can do nothing more to you, but they would fear God who not only can kill the body but can also cast your very soul into hell. Remember these words, "touch not mine anointed, nor do my prophets any harm". After everything they tried to do my cup still spills over. COWARDS!!.

Paul is a great lawyer, after fighting a long 9 month hard custody battle with my ex wife, I now have full custody of my daughter. Paul acts quickly and uses the facts. This attorney along with his prior cases should be reviewed for criminal activity/misconduct committed in a court of law by him and his clients. The only way he can attempt to gain the upper hand. This attorney is a disgrace to other attorneys, children most of all, and families. The Judge involved in my case is no longer responsible for reviewing family court cases thankfully. There is no wonder why. Paul Scott should be prohibited from representing clients in any case as an attorney as well.

Do not use this person. Protect your children. There should be discipline for assisting clients to commit crimes and calling it representation. What went on was illegal. Is illegal. If you care about your children avoid.

As a father going through the Genesee county court system you are already fighting an uphill battle when it comes to child custody. When you add on the behavior used by this opposing counsel and his client, many children and their parents would have no chance at having a fair shot at life. The children in the end are the biggest victims used throughout this whole sad process. This attorney assisted his client to commit multiple felony crimes in Genesee county court system.

I will make this very clear. My son is with me 7 out of 14 days all year after this. Very good outcome. What was allowed to go on and the path it took to get that time with my son exposes what a disgrace our family court system is. No parent should have to go through this for bringing an innocent child into this world. Especially with people like this practicing law within it.

I am a respected member of the community, helping many as an RN in Genesee county. Most important I am a father to my son. The fact that this person is still doing this to families and children is my main concern.

Paul scott actually assisted his client to commit multiple accounts of felony perjury, multiple accounts of making false statements and accusations while representing a client, and assisted his client in falsifying and editing multiple documents submitted to use as exhibits during a court case. He used multiple forms of misconduct to try and gain the upper hand.

All for what? ruining childrens lives..... (and earning $$ by while doing so)

This information is presented to our joke of a attorney grievance system and of course nothing is done. First they say there is not enough evidence to pursue anything and then I give them the evidence. Next, They say “even though you may have evidence proving this attorney has committed professional misconduct while representing a client, the judge did nothing about it so we will do nothing about it. You are asking us to do a re-trial.” No I am reporting attorney misconduct which you are failing to handle appropriately.

I wonder why attorneys act illegally and perform professional misconduct with no worries??. Our legal system, especially the family courts in Genesee County are a JOKE.

Obviously this judge knows the attorney in question and will not pursue discipline. They are “professional” acquaintances. Its a joke. Which brings the Judges actions into question.

I again file another complaint asking why nothing is done. The attorney grievance commission tells me this is the only complaint of this kind against this attorney and it will always be on file. If more complaints come in of this nature they might do something. ???. Basically no matter what they are going to do nothing about this attorneys behavior?

If you have experienced similar behavior or attorney misconduct I would strongly urge you to report it to the Attorney Grievance Commision. Exposing a pattern of attorney misconduct with more reports coming through is key.

If you truly care about your child or children I strongly encourage you to avoid.

Great attorney! I had a bit of a complicated case and Paul worked to get the outcome I wanted and hoped for. He educated himself with my case within 24 hours of a consult, and he had a game plan the next day! He is extremely professional and had my family's best interest at heart! I had a great experience with Paul. I used him for my divorce and recently for a school district dispute. I read the review below which was negative and am very confused by it. I would say I researched lawyers fees, and his are on par. Also you get what you pay for, and Paul was well worth every penny. Having experience with lawyers before I know they can be very busy, and normally the ones that are not busy are not busy for a reason. Paul would always answer my text, and always get back to me if I left a message. If I was uncertain about something or wanted a meeting he would arrange it. He came to court very prepared, and is a great speaker. It was obvious in the court room that I had the superior lawyer. Most of the time Paul was able to tell me what was going to happen in court before it happen. The only exception was the school district final decision which he told me we had a good shot. He came to court with visual aids for the judge, and cold hard facts, while the other side had stories. He is also good on his toes and able to overcome adversity as it is thrown at him in the court room. When I went to court I would sometimes watch the other cases before me and I can say Paul is defiantly the best speaker, and he knows his stuff. In the end I won my case, but even if I had lost I knew Paul brought his A game. I knew he did everything we could to win. Also there was one time where I was so frustrated with my divorce, my X wife and the processes that I took it out on Paul, and he was still very professional with me and did not take it personal. I would recommend Paul to anyone looking for a lawyer.

Great attorney! My wife had left me and took the kids. Paul immediately went to work. I ended up with joint custody and see my kids just as much as their mother. And she ended up paying me child support! Would never use anyone else.

DO NOT USE THIS MAN. During this terrible process the only thing I could hold on to was the oppurtunity to use a platform such as this to warn others. There are too many negative things to say about this lawyer. It is clear to me he does not like women, or his job. He loves money and he isn’t shy of showing it. He should have all of his rights revoked from him as he made his paying client feel she had no rights. You will pay this man to insult you, forget about you, and be outright the worst lawyer in the room.

This "lawyer" is a complete joke! His secretary and himself are the most sneaky, patronizing pair you will ever encounter. I could write a book on how unprofessional both were to my vulnerable sister going through a divorce. He was condescending towards her constantly. If she made a mistake on his name (note his name is two first names... a mistake anyone could make) he would correct her, then have the audacity to call her a different name in retaliation. He waited until the house was sold, took out his fees, put her money in his own private account, and wrote her a check for the amount. Mind you, my sister did not have a dime in her name, and her credit score plummeted (and it took days to clear Mr. Scott's personal check before she could get her money) I feel that was done vindictively so she had to wait longer! They were always going back and forth on who my sister needed to talk to causing a ton of confusion. Remember, Mr. Scott was recalled and FAILED when he tried his hand in politics! He was very sarcastic to her saying things like "I suggest you calm down". When she complained about the fees that he tacked on any chance he could get, he said something like "be happy I am not charging you more". Any reputable lawyer would let a small text slide by, but not Paul!! In my opinion I feel Mr. Scott being divorced himself has little regard for women, just my observation through this dreaded process. If there are any positive reviews on his website, I would not be surprised if it were his family or friends (if he has any). Please people, a divorce is hard enough, do not add extra stress by using this lawyer.

Paul reviewed my case and caught several things that my previous lawyer did incorrectly. He also helped me in getting 50/50 of my child. I plan on working with him again in the future when the time comes!

Paul was an exceptional attorney to consult with. Unfortunately, I have a mile-long list of issues with my child's father. Joke of an attorney! Buyers beware, doesnt like to meet with clients prior to court but instead just says dont say these things in court and you will be fine. Paul Scott is a excellent attorney if you have a drunk driving charge he will help you. He got me from 2 D/D to first time Impaired, which meant no jail time, 12 months probation, restricted licensed for 3 months, full licensed after and AA2x per week. this lawyer was hired to obtain visitation rights. first he broke his own contract by not providing a monthly cost report. he was asked twice by email and twice by phone for a cost report. his staff gave one number, then he emailed a much higher number. he said things to the judge his client did not agree with and when both parties were finally in agreement he wouldn't sign off on it. he insisted there were months of trials left and he wanted them. he cost almost 5k with little to show for it. he charges about $45 per email even if it is only one or two sentences long. he sent several short ones himself that required short answers. (stacking up the bill with bullcr*p) his communication was poor and he made it very obvious he didnt want the case...he should not have excepted it if he didnt want it, guess it was just for the money.

Paul was there for me super last minute regarding a child custody /support case I was blindsided by. He and Heather kept me informed throughout the whole process and so far things are going the way they should. Would definitely recommend him as an attorney.
