My ex-husband and I finished our family court agreement on August 12, 2019. My ex-husband’s lawyer, Ms. Elizabeth Dawson Vander Wal stated in court that she would write up the new custody order. It is now January 7, 2020 and she has still yet to submit the ‘new’ order to Livingston County Family Court. Her failure to complete her task that she volunteered to handle in court on August 12th 2019 is not only inconvenient to both parties(my ex-husband and I), it is a direct reflection of Ms. Vander Wal’s lack of professionalism and dependability. If my ex-husband and I agree on anything, it is that five months is a completely an unacceptable and absurd amount of time to be waiting for a court order to be written up and sent to both of us.
